Slotted between i10 and Elite i20, in Hyundai’s line-up, Grand i10 was introduced in Indian market in 2013. Powering the line-up is a 1.2 litre, Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine mated to a manual and an automatic transmission. The diesel variants draw power from a 1.2 litre, 2nd gen U2 CRDi unit and are offered only with a manual gearbox. Exterior styling is chic, in tandem with the rest of the Hyundai models. Cabin is snug in terms of room, especially the rear side and the quality of material used is at par with rivals in the segment.

Hyundai Grand i10 range is available with a choice of two engines-1.2 litre Kappa dual VTVT petrol and a 1.2 litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. The 1.2 litre, four cylinder Kappa petrol unit produces maximum power of 82bhp at 6000rpm and 114Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The three cylinder, 1.2 litre, diesel powertrain puts out 74bhp at 4000rpm along with 190Nm torque between 1750 to 2250rpm. Transmission options comprise a five-speed manual available on both engines and a four-speed auto-box offered only on select petrol variants.

Petrol powered Grand i10 is tuned to deliver 18.9km/l and the diesel version of the hatchback is claimed to return ARAI certified fuel economy of 24km/l.
