Some pointer's on what you can do when you are on the road,

 

Concentrate: 

There are a lot of things that may be going through your head but you have to have a clear head before getting behind the wheel. Driving is about keeping it simple and you will require a lot of concentration to keep your eye on the road.

 

If you're tired, get rest first:

If you are tired and have had a long day, then it is best to take public transport than sit at the wheel of your car. Time consuming as it may be, public transport will ensure that you reach home safely. If you are tired, it is difficult to concentrate and there are chances that you might even fall asleep at the wheel. So, why take that chance?

 

Do Not Speed:

We all know how the Fast and Furious franchise has added to the youngsters belief that speed indeed is next to God. While on one hand speed helps in getting you from point A to point B faster, it does have a lot of risks involved. There is always a risk of error when you are on the road, that percentage quadruples if you are going fast. Give yourself plenty of time so you don't feel the pressure of reaching your destination late. You can also cut down on the incidences of road rage, such as excessive speeding, tailgating and weaving in and out between cars.

 

Follow the Rules:

The traffic police have laid down a certain lot of rules which are familiarised with once you start driving. Following these safety regulations like wearing a helmet, wearing seatbelts and adhering to the speed limit, will make the journey safer. If traveling with children, educate yourself on the many kinds of child safety seats and restraints

 

Always look in the mirrors before overtaking:

This one uses the same logic as crossing a road. First you look in the right hand side mirror, then the left and finally the rear view mirror. Only once you are convinced that it is safer to move out and make an overtaking manouver, go ahead else stick to the lane for an opportune moment.
