Which looks better?
The Jeep Compass looks like a toned down version of the Grand Cherokee. The American premium SUV-makers have given the Compass a very Non-Jeep like design, but it still manages to grab eyeballs on the street. With the signature seven-slat grille and the square like bumper in the front, the Compass commands a mean yet likeable stance. The sloping roofline and powerful wings create a stunning profile that highlights the sculpted design aesthetic.

Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, with its creased hood lines and large bumper gives a very dramatic first impression. The new gen Triple slat hexagonal chrome grille gives a dynamic look to the Creta. In the rear, the split-type tail lamps and a sporty gives a premium look to the Creta. However, Creta does lack in dimensions, as the Compass has a longer wheelbase coupled with dominating ground clearance of 206mm over 190mm that is offered by the Korean SUV.

What's inside?
Moving inside, Jeep has attempted to give a fresh and premium feel to the cabin. Although, it is boring to look at, the dashboard is more driver-friendly. The dials and knobs might give an impression of an old school SUV, but Jeep has tried to remain true to its tradition while being user-friendly. The Compass is equipped with the signature Uconnect system on a 7.0 touchscreen. The high-resolution display with its drag/drop and pinch-to-zoom functionality gives complete control over work and play. Added bonus is the ability to mirror your phone onto the system via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Inside the Creta, you will find a touch screen navigation system. But it is only available on the top end variant. Along with the Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC), the Creta also features Luggage Lamp, Rear AC Vents and power outlets in the front and rear. The floor console tray provides ample space for mobile phones, wallets etc.

For Safety
Safety-wise, Jeep Compass offers more options than the Creta as features like Brake Assist, Hill Assist, ESP and Traction Control come as standard. While the same is available in higher trim levels of the Creta.

Pricing
With a cumulative sales figure of over 1.5 lakh, the Creta was the undisputed winner in its segment. However, with the Jeep Compass, you now have the option for the Sport variant, which is close to the top end SX (O) variant of the Creta. The Compass is, however, a more value for money buy and will definitely give you extra attention on the road.
