2017 Honda CBF190X Unveiled In China

Highlights
- The bike was unveiled at China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition
- It is called the 'Fight Hawk'
- It gets a 184cc, single cylinder engine producing 15bhp and 15Nm
Looks like the small displacement touring bike market is booming and manufacturers seem to have finally started listening to the adventure touring crowd, who have long been seeking a lightweight, small displacement motorcycle. Honda has however, gone one step further and unveiled a small, dual-purpose sports tourer at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition in Chonqing.

Called the 'Fight Hawk' as is evident from the decals, the CBF190X seems to be targeted at the premium commuter segment with some 'adventure' styling bits thrown in, rather than being a serious tourer. That said, the CBF190X looks inspired from larger capacity sports-tourers and will certainly find fans in the mass market segments.
The 184cc single overhead cam motor is air-cooled and makes 15bhp at 11,000rpm and 15Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Power is transferred via a five-speed gearbox. The CB190X certainly looks the 'touring' bit with an extended 'beak', front cowl and robust grab rails. Single petal discs front and rear take care of stopping duties.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has denied any plans of launching the CBF190X in India. Even if it is launched, the CBF190X won't have the performance or equipment to rival the likes of the upcoming BMW G 310 GS.
