Cars That Share The Same Engine

Auto technology and gizmos take immense research and trial & error to finally perfect one component. Additionally, automakers invest and spend billions on developing engines and other essential parts.
On that note, you should know that it is not uncommon for different brands to collaborate and use the same technology.
Sharing the same engine and other components allows manufacturers to trim down costs and share their power-packed technologies. Let's find some unique duos that share the same engine design!
Skoda Kushaq & Volkswagen Taigun
Both the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun are pretty exciting and successful SUV models. If you are not already aware, Taigun was launched in India just a few months after its sibling, the Skoda Kushaq.
We should also highlight that both variants have the same transmissions options and engines. Both these beauties harbour 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines. And, the engine can deliver a max torque of 178Nm and 115ps max power.

Hyundai Venue & Kia Sonet
Automakers give some extra oomph factor to their car models to stay afloat in the market. The diesel engine in the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue is an example. Their state of art engine technology calls for sharing, don't they?
The shared engine of these cars is exceptionally robust and can pump out an excellent performance. These two compact SUVs are packed with the same 120 hp, 1.0-litre, 172 Nm, direct injection, three-cylinder turbo petrol engines.

Nissan Magnite & Renault Kiger
Both Nissan and Renault are two different leading auto brands, yet their range has a lot in common. It is worth mentioning that both brands are a part of the same auto group in the international market.
The Magnite and Kiger are the manufacturers' recent-most launches. Apart from that, the specs indicate that the models come with the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines. This standard engine in both models is capable of 160Nm of peak torque and 100ps of max power.

Tata Harrier & Jeep Compass
It is hard to choose between excellent models such as the Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier when it comes to SUVs. Though most of the features in both models are quite different, they share the same engine model.
Harrier and Compass come fitted with Fiat's BS-VI compliant Multijet 2.0-litre diesel engine. This engine is capable of 170bhp. You can also expect a 1956cc engine displacement from the standard engine fitted in Harrier & Compass.
