  • The 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid has been launched in India and the Japanese carmaker has impressed with the pricing this time. While we were expecting the all-new Toyota Camry Hybrid to be a couple of lakhs more expensive than the outgoing model given that it has received a significant update, at Rs. 36. 95 lakh (ex-showroom, India) Toyota has managed to price it Rs. 27,000 cheaper than the previous model which was priced at Rs. 37.22 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The aggressive pricing seems even more impressive considering the fact that the government has withdrawn the incentives on Hybrid models and has imposed 48 per cent GST on them, in line with all the other models which measures above 4 metres and have an engine capacity of over 1.5 litres.

  • The Toyota Camry is the first launch for the Japanese carmaker in 2019 and it's an important one at that because the company has received a good response for the previous generation models of the car.
