British carmaker Aston Martin and the fictional MI6 spy James Bond have had a long-standing association and the former has been synonymous with Bond films of over 50 years now. To reaffirm this association, Aston Martin will be featuring four of its iconic cars in the 25th instalment of the movie franchise that's quite aptly named 'No Time To Die.' The movie will feature the classic Aston Martin DB5, 177 Vantage V8 Series II, DBS Superleggera and the new Valhalla; all of which will join the all-new Land Rover Defender. The upcoming spy flick is slated for release on April 8, 2020.

The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is set to become the newest James Bond-inspired car, thanks to the most recent collaboration between Aston Martin and EON Productions. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, 50 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' DBS Superleggera special edition cars will be sold. Painted Olive Green to match the original 1969 Aston Martin DBS driven by James Bond in the movie, the new models will take bring in a brutish elegance to the DBS Superleggera.

Aston Martin Celebrates 50 Years Of James Bond Movie With A Special Edition DBS Superleggera

It was in 1959 that Aston Martin put up a spectacular show at Le Mans, which is one of the toughest endurance races in the world and managed a one-two finish that year. 60 years later, Aston Martin has designed a Special Edition DBS Superleggera to celebrate its 1959 Le Mans victory and will be calling it the DBS 59. The DBS 59 will be a limited edition model and Aston Martin will manufacture only 24 units which will represent each hour of the race.

Aston Martin has taken the wraps off its latest supercar and the replacement for the Vanquish, the all-new DBS Superleggera. The new car is, as expected, a V12 front engine GT and heralds the return of the DBS marque into the Aston Martin lineup. The new car also brings back the Superleggera name and badge to the Aston Martin family with an homage to design house and coachbuilder 'Touring', which was responsible for some absolutely spectacular Aston Martin designs of the past. The Superleggera (lightweight) badge also means that the new DBS takes its weight reduction very seriously for maximum performance and efficiency.
