The new Alto K10 then is a much-improved car than earlier. Especially when it comes to design and features, it takes things higher a few notches. For the budget conscious it remains a wise, value for money option in the market, perhaps wiser than before. 

There's lots of things to like about this car. There's lots of things that you might find fault with but it’s the pricing of the C3 that really shines out. At a starting price of Rs. 5.71 lakh Citroen has certainly let a cat amongst the pigeons and yes even with the glaring omission of the automatic, it still stands out

The compact sedan segment in India is undergoing an influx of fresher models with the Skoda Slavia and the hybrid version of the Honda City taking the fight straight to Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Hyundai Verna Volkswagen now has brought in the replacement to the VW Vento and yes it looks gorgeous. With a car like the Virtus, that is high on looks, features and two powerful petrol engines, Volkswagen might just hit it out of the park with the pricing.

The new Brezza does feel refreshed and more energetic thanks to the new petrol motor and the mild facelift. Although, the value-for-money proposition takes a hit with the Venue and the Nexon offering more features and pricing is much more competitive than that of the new Brezza. Plus, with the Kia Sonet coming in, the Vitara Brezza facelift has its work cut out, keeping its crown as the undisputed king of the subcompact SUV segment.

The 580 will be launched very soon as well because it is locally assembled, so expect a dip in price for that one. The car still looks like the Scorpio we know and it is more than simply the same wine in a new bottle. It has had a lot of work that's gone into it, and the good news is that's obvious. The car has been well tuned and is certainly a big improvement on the previous one. It could've have looked better, driven better - sure. Given what I have experienced on the Jeep Meridian, I will say this - don't be fooled by its very swish, upmarket, and very urban looks. It is a true Jeep, and will give you a good mix of on and off-road capability.
