The First Generation – Used PB, 2008
This generation uses an entirely new platform with a wheelbase of 2525 mm and a spacious cabin. The suspension follows the supermini norms with MacPherson struts. The upgraded version of the i20 is the iGen i20 that went on sale in India in March 2012, that has tweaked the headlamp, tail lamp and fog lamp. The design that it follows is named Fluidic Sculpture. The 1248 cc engine is a good performer on most parameters and the Kappa motor is a big draw for buyers. There are six airbags for the top-end variant while there are other features like rain-sensing wipers with automatic headlamps and central locking.
Second Generation – Used GB/IB 2014
The body style is a three-door and five-door hatchback, and it has a new interior and exterior with a 1.4-litre diesel engine. It was launched in the year 2014 in August, and it follows the design philosophy of Fluidic Sculpture 2.0. It includes a trapezoidal fog lamp with a black C pillar. The interior gets a beige and black dashboard in a dual tone theme. It has rear AC vents as well, and it has automatic temperature control too. The i20 Active is a crossover launched in 2015, on the 17th of March. It has many features that make it a great choice as a used car purchase for car lovers.
Third Generation – Used BC3/BI3, 2020
It continues with a five-door hatchback style and the 1.0 L Kappa IT-GDi I3 petrol engine. For diesel, the engine is the 1.5 L U II CRDi I4 motor. The 3rd generation is large and even low compared to the previous generation, and its design emphasizes sensuous sportiness that features a redesigned exterior and interior alike.
Used Hyundai Elite i20– Explained
It is a second-generation vehicle that launched in the year 2014 in August as the Elite i20. It even won the award of ICOTY, i.e., the 2015 Indian Car of the Year in December, 2014. During the launch, it had ten variants and two engine options. It has a boot space of 326 litres, a VTVT Kappa Dual petrol engine, and a 1.4-liter U2 CRDi diesel engine. It has great safety features with airbags and reverse parking sensors.
