Features and Equipment
- The mechanicals and the underpinnings of the R9 are shared with the MT-09.
- The R9 boasts the existing R-series design language.
- Team Yamaha Blue, Intensity White/Redline, and Matte Raven Black are the colours that are expected to be offered here.
- Up front is a centre-mounted LED projector headlamp surrounded by LED DRLs.
- Other highlights include integrated winglets and a petite tail section.
- And then, there's tech equipment including wheelie control, cornering traction control, cornering ABS, and multiple ride modes.
- Moreover, the suspension setup includes fully adjustable KYB front forks.
- On the other hand, the rear monoshock comes with preload and rebound adjustability.
Engine and Gearbox
- The Yamaha YZF-R9 is powered by an 890cc, inline-three-cylinder, CP3 engine.
- This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
- This liquid-cooled motor produces 117.3bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 93Nm at 7,000rpm.
