Jeep Compass Unveiled In India; Specs, Pictures And Expected Price
Jeep India has unveiled the brand new Jeep Compass in India. The new Jeep Compass will be launched later this year and will be priced competitively so as to take on a slew of rivals including the likes of the Hyundai Creta/Hyundai Tucson, Mahindra XUV500 and the Tata Hexa amongst others. The Jeep Compass will get two engine options a 1.4 litre petrol which gets over 160 bhp of peak power and 260 Nm of peak torque and the 2.0 litre diesel engine which will get over 170 bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox options will be a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic. The Jeep Compass will also get a four wheel drive system with several drive modes that will change the drive characteristic of the compact SUV. The Jeep Compass has a ground clearance of 178mm with a wheelbase of 2636mm making it quite spacious on the inside. The overall length of the Jeep Compass is 4398mm while the height and width are 1667mm and 1819mm respectively.
