Bajaj Platina 110
The Bajaj Platina 110 is a popular pick for buyers in this segment who seek a reliable and hassle-free commuter motorcycle.
How is the design?
The Bajaj Platina 110 sports an updated design with brand new decals and the logo for the fuel tank resembles more of an emblem. The seat also comes with a ribbed and stylish design pattern.
How is the performance?
The Bajaj Platina 110 comes with a 115.45 cc engine that makes 8.44 BHP and maximum torque of 9.81 Nm. The DTS-i engine is air cooled and generates sizable power as well. The engine feels refined at idle while the vibrations are lower while it is being revved. The company has also ensured lower NVH levels at the same time. The note of the exhaust is nice enough and the gear shifts are smooth and hassle-free. You can down-shift till 40 kmph in the fifth gear and build up your speed from the same. T/he gear ratio also stays the same.
How does the Bajaj Platina 110 ride?
The Bajaj Platina 110 offers smooth ride quality and better handling than before. The suspension setup, while on the softer side, still functions nicely enough. There is also an enhanced swingarm for enabling greater stability on the highway while it also functions well with the tubeless tyres from CEAT in order to keep the bike firmly planted on the road as well. The CBS works well as well although the rear can lock smoothly as compared to similar motorcycles from Honda.
How comfortable is the Bajaj Platina 110?
The Bajaj Platina 110 comes with decent comfort levels for most riders although taller people will find it problematic in terms of finding the right position for riding. The long seat offers more room for riders as well. The handlebar also has a taller position and the overall stance is more upright. Comfort levels are not bad overall for the motorcycle.
Tech
The company has revamped its digital and analogue instrument console and it shows the gear shift indicator and gear position indicator, offering recommendations on downshifting and up-shifting alike. The indicator is quite accurate as well.
How’s the mileage?
The motorcycle comes with a fuel economy of 70-75 kmpl on average.
Does the Bajaj Platina 110 offer good value for money?
The Bajaj Platina 110 offers decent value for money, especially for buyers seeking a bike that is reliable and durable as well. The Platina 110 comes with a good engine and decent features at its price point. This makes it a value proposition for buyers by all means.
How is the after sales service?
The service interval is 30-45 days or 500 to 750 kilometres for the first service.
Which motorbikes compete in this segment?
There are several motorcycles competing in the category including the Hero Splendor Plus, TVS Radeon, and the Bajaj Platina 100 which is its own sibling. It manages to hold its own against the competition while offering decent performance as well.
Verdict (Is it Value for Money)
The Bajaj Platina 110 offers a value proposition for buyers while the features are quite decent as well. The powertrain is the best in class and the ride and handling are also top-notch. The motorcycle comes with a highly advanced instrument console for its segment and the overall experience is also decent, to say the least.
Pros
- Fuel efficient motor
- 5-speed gearbox
- Gets ABS
Cons
- Performance
- Less variants
- Quality
Verdict
The one feature which makes it stand out in its class has to be the top-quality safety upgrade Bajaj has provided to Platina 110. Most bikers would assume Bajaj might have discontinued the combi-braking system after introducing the ABS. Contrary to this popular opinion, the Platina 110 ABS features both the ABS and the combi-braking system, which makes it the best choice for bikers who prioritise safety.
Platina 110 Colour Options
Bajaj Platina 110 is available in 4 different colors namely Blue, Black & White, Black/Red & Black 2.
