Bajaj Auto has announced the launch of the new Platina 110 ABS model in India. Priced at Rs. 65,930 (ex-showroom, Delhi) the new Bajaj Platina 110 ABS is the only bike in its segment right now to offer Anti-lock braking technology. The motorcycle comes with single-channel ABS technology, and the system is paired with a 240 mm front disc brake. Recently Bajaj Auto also launched the Platina 100 ES or Electric Start model, calling it the most affordable motorcycle in its segment to get a self-start system.

Commenting on the launch Sarang Kanade, President - Domestic Motorcycles Business Unit, Bajaj Auto said, "The new Platina 110 ABS offers unmatched safety by offering riders complete control over unforeseen braking scenarios. We hope that millions of Indians who ride across varying terrains & roads of the country would take cognizance of the need to keep themselves & their loved ones safe and upgrade to the best-in-segment braking technology. The brand Platina has an unmatched proposition of Comfort with over 7 million satisfied customers as a testament to its segment-leading attributes and now with the addition of ABS, it remains a generation ahead of its competitors."

The updated motorcycle also comes with LED Headlamp with integrated daytime running lamps, new mirrors, as well as hand-guards to offer extra protection
Currently, in India, ABS is mandatory only in two-wheelers that have an engine capacity of 125 cc or more. So, offering ABS technology with a 110 cc motorcycle is certainly a welcome addition for the segment. An anti-lock braking system or ABS comes with an electronic controller that monitors the wheel speed under sudden or extreme braking, and through a feedback loop, releases and reapplies the brakes, faster than any human intervention can manage. In doing so, the system works to prevent 'locking' of the wheel, which otherwise may cause loss of control or skidding.

The updated motorcycle also comes with LED Headlamp with integrated daytime running lamps, new mirrors, as well as hand-guards to offer extra protection.

The 2021 Platina 110 ABS is offered in three colour options - charcoal black, volcanic red and beach blue.
