What's New?

Audi Q3 has seen great success in India previously, and after being discontinued just before the BS6 regulations kicked in, the premium compact SUV is back on sale in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs. 44.89 lakh (Ex-showroom) for the Premium Plus variant. The Audi Q3 is also offered in the higher Technology variant which is priced at Rs. 50.39 lakh (Ex-showroom). The second-generation Audi Q3 looks much sportier than its predecessor thanks to the striking Singleframe in octagon design divided up by vertical bars, along with the large air inlets. The sleek Matrix LED headlights run inwards with their wedge shape. The profile balances the exterior design with the symmetrical lighting graphics of the headlights and rear lights. The contours draw their inspiration from Audi’s Quattro DNA and make the SUV seem even wider. The long roof edge spoiler flanks the rear window at the side, with a steeply raked C pillar.

The interior of the 2022 Audi Q3 consists of a driver-focussed cockpit with three-dimensionally styled elements. Its central element is the MMI touch display with its high-gloss black glass-look surround, while the air con controls are positioned underneath and tilted 10 degrees toward the driver. The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is a standard fitment featuring the MMI navigation plus. There is also a 10.1-inch touch display in the middle of the dashboard. The top end ‘Technology’ variants also pack more premium features like Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, ambient lighting with 30 colour options, wireless phone charger, a 180W Audi sound system, Audi Drive Select and much more.

The 2022 Audi Q3 features a 2.0-litre petrol engine which develops 187 bhp and 320 Nm, paired to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive system. It does the 0-100 kmph sprint in 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 222 kmph.

Safety Equipment

Because the Audi Q3 is built with safety in mind from the ground up, both you and the people riding with you are guaranteed to be unharmed at all times while on the road. The following are some of the safety measures included in the Audi Q3:

During sharp turns and hard stops, the vehicle's stability control system can provide assistance in maintaining driver control of the vehicle.

The front collision warning system is designed to assist drivers in avoiding accidents by sounding an alarm before the motorist reaches a potentially hazardous point which is a great feature.

The Audi Pre-Safe system makes use of the car's three sensors to detect any potential hazards in the driver's path and reduces the driver's exposure to risk.

Even if the driver isn't paying attention or isn't wearing a seatbelt, the Emergency Stop Assist system can detect obstructions in front of the vehicle with the help of cameras and radars. This makes it possible to come to a safe stop.
You also get blind-spot monitoring, ABS, rear cross-traffic alert, a plethora of airbags, and a whole lot more.

The Q3 is offered in 2 variants namely Premium Plus and Technology. The cheapest Audi Q3 variant is the Premium Plus which has a price tag of Rs. 44.89 Lakh while the most expensive variant is the Audi Q3 Technology which commands a price of Rs. 50.39 Lakh.

The Audi Q3 takes on the BMW X1, Mercedes Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and the Mini Countryman.

The BMW X1 is a practical, if somewhat ho-hum, addition to the Audi Q3’s competitor ranks. Luckily, “boring” only applies to looks here, as the X1’s engine makes for a peppy and playful drive.

As you’d expect from BMW, the X1 offers refined, nimble handling and interior style, combined with functionality that makes it an attractive proposition in this segment.

With standard driver-assist features and a functional, well-styled interior, the Volvo XC40 is stiff competition for any compact crossover. While even the base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder offers enough power to keep drivers entertained, the XC40 isn’t just about driving fun. It is a multi-talented car, great for family hauling and weekends away. It’s a bit less fuel efficient than many in its class, but it’s still an ideal competitor for the Audi Q3.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class offers a perfect option for those looking to get in on the luxury SUV game on a budget. It is diminutive, to say the least, but its ride height and door size make it easy to get in and out of—even if boot space is sparse at best.

While the GLA’s base configuration is affordably priced, it probably won’t offer all the bells and whistles you’d want in a competitor for the Audi Q3.

The Audi Q3 is a compact automobile that is not only powerful but also engineered to provide exceptional value for the money. The vehicle has a starting price of Rs. 44.89 Lakh and it goes up to Rs. 50.39 Lakh. You may personalise the vehicle to suit your preferences thanks to the many available customization choices. The Audi Q3 is a luxurious vehicle that also ensures decent mileage, comes with a bevy of stellar features, and most importantly, looks the part of a refined, premium, and sleek crossover. It does make for a compelling proposition in its segment and that too at this price point. And of course, looks are always subjective, but the Q3 does manage to create a powerful first impression on the road.
