The German automaker Audi is well-known for producing high-end automobiles. In order for them to keep their heads above water, they have been forced to make some difficult choices. The cessation of production of their best-selling Q3 model was one example of this kind of choice. However, the model was eventually reintroduced in the Indian market.

It's able to travel up to 222 kmph and has plenty of space for passengers. Audi has always been known for its luxury cars, but the company has now entered the electric car market with the Audi Q. The Audi Q3 Sportback TFSI e will nearly always start in all-electric EV mode when there is sufficient charge. This car is different than other electric cars because it is a hybrid that can be used as a regular car and also as a self-driving vehicle. The Audi Q3 comes with features like automatic braking, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control to help make driving easier. Another feature of the Audi Q is its performance. It has a powerful engine that allows it to go fast and reach high speeds. The Q3 otherwise gets a four cylinder 1984 cc engine.

    How’s the Mileage?

The Audi Q3 is a well-liked crossover that gets respectable fuel economy for vehicles in its class. It offers average mileage of 14.93 kmpl. The Adaptive Damping Control system, which helps optimise driving characteristics for a variety of driving conditions, is one of the fuel efficiency measures that are included in the suite of features that are offered by Audi. The Q3 also comes standard with a number of environmentally friendly technologies, such as the ECO Assist function, which makes use of sensors to maximise engine power while minimising fuel usage during idle-stop operations.

    How’s the Driving Experience?

Drivers who are interested in having an exciting time behind the wheel will find that the Audi Q3 is a fantastic option. It has great handling and traction, which makes it simple to turn turns and move about in confined areas. The engine is both powerful and efficient, and ensures smooth driving both on highways and in city conditions. One gets the feeling that a little more agility would have been par for the course here. However, overall, this is still a great handler, and offers a comfortable suspension setup as well. Audi Drive Select is what tunes your driving mode as per requirements. The overall experience is great and it continues to be a good driver’s car.

    How’s its Off-road Capability?

The Audi Q3 was designed to take you on exciting journeys, and it does so with ease. The Audi Q3 is not only capable of providing excellent handling in tough terrain, but it is also able to travel at high speeds even when traversing difficult terrain. It can be a mild off-roading option at best.

    What’s the Interior like?

The brand-new Audi Q3 is an automobile that is going to make a splash in the premium vehicle industry. The interior is exquisitely elegant and provides one with everything one could possible need in addition to even more. The seats provide an exceptional level of comfort, and the dashboard has a streamlined and contemporary appearance. There is also an entertainment system that is pre-installed, and there are a lot of alternatives to pick from. The Audi Q3 is all about the details. The vehicle offers ample space with electrically adjustable front seats, dual zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. This is a great car to be in overall.

    Tech and Infotainment

As is common knowledge, Audi is widely considered to be a pioneer in the field of automotive technology. They have long been famous for the high quality of their entertainment systems, and the Q vehicle is in no way an exception to this rule. The stunning 12.3-inch display seen in the Audi Q3 automobile is fully customizable to suit the preferences of the driver. The system also gives you the ability to control all of the different features from the screen, making it incredibly simple to operate in all respects. You can also link your smartphone to the system using Bluetooth, allowing you to access whatever information or music you want without ever having to take your eyes off the road. This feature is especially useful for drivers who are required to perform hazardous tasks.

A plethora of additional cutting-edge technological elements give the Audi Q3 car its reputation as a cutting-edge automobile. It is equipped with a digital engine control system, for instance, which assists in optimising both performance and fuel economy. In addition to this, it has a sensor array mounted on the roof that keeps track of the surrounding traffic conditions and has the ability to autonomously alter the suspension settings in response. The Q3 stands out with its standard Quattro all-wheel-drive system and a long list of included features such as a panoramic sunroof. You also get Audi Drive Select on offer.
    Safety Equipment

Because the Audi Q3 is built with safety in mind from the ground up, both you and the people riding with you are guaranteed to be unharmed at all times while on the road. The following are some of the safety measures included in the Audi Q3:

During sharp turns and hard stops, the vehicle's stability control system can provide assistance in maintaining driver control of the vehicle.

The front collision warning system is designed to assist drivers in avoiding accidents by sounding an alarm before the motorist reaches a potentially hazardous point which is a great feature.

The Audi Pre-Safe system makes use of the car's three sensors to detect any potential hazards in the driver's path and reduces the driver's exposure to risk.

Even if the driver isn't paying attention or isn't wearing a seatbelt, the Emergency Stop Assist system can detect obstructions in front of the vehicle with the help of cameras and radars. This makes it possible to come to a safe stop.
You also get blind-spot monitoring, ABS, rear cross-traffic alert, a plethora of airbags, and a whole lot more.

    Which variant to buy?

The Q3 is offered in 2 variants namely Premium Plus and Technology. The cheapest Audi Q3 variant is the Premium Plus which has a price tag of Rs. 44.89 Lakh while the most expensive variant is the Audi Q3 Technology which commands a price of Rs. 50.39 Lakh.

Which Cars Compete in this Segment?

The Audi Q3 takes on the BMW X1, Mercedes Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and the Mini Countryman.

The BMW X1 is a practical, if somewhat ho-hum, addition to the Audi Q3’s competitor ranks. Luckily, “boring” only applies to looks here, as the X1’s engine makes for a peppy and playful drive.

As you’d expect from BMW, the X1 offers refined, nimble handling and interior style, combined with functionality that makes it an attractive proposition in this segment.

With standard driver-assist features and a functional, well-styled interior, the Volvo XC40 is stiff competition for any compact crossover. While even the base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder offers enough power to keep drivers entertained, the XC40 isn’t just about driving fun. It is a multi-talented car, great for family hauling and weekends away. It’s a bit less fuel efficient than many in its class, but it’s still an ideal competitor for the Audi Q3.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class offers a perfect option for those looking to get in on the luxury SUV game on a budget. It is diminutive, to say the least, but its ride height and door size make it easy to get in and out of—even if boot space is sparse at best.

While the GLA’s base configuration is affordably priced, it probably won’t offer all the bells and whistles you’d want in a competitor for the Audi Q3.

    Verdict (Value for Money?)

The Audi Q3 is a compact automobile that is not only powerful but also engineered to provide exceptional value for the money. The vehicle has a starting price of Rs. 44.89 Lakh and it goes up to Rs. 50.39 Lakh. You may personalise the vehicle to suit your preferences thanks to the many available customization choices. The Audi Q3 is a luxurious vehicle that also ensures decent mileage, comes with a bevy of stellar features, and most importantly, looks the part of a refined, premium, and sleek crossover. It does make for a compelling proposition in its segment and that too at this price point. And of course, looks are always subjective, but the Q3 does manage to create a powerful first impression on the road.

    Detail

The 2022 Audi Q3 has been on sale in European markets since 2019 but comes to India only now due to the delay caused by the global pandemic.

The second-generation Audi Q3 looks much sportier than its predecessor thanks to the striking Singleframe in octagon design divided up by vertical bars, along with the large air inlets. The sleek Matrix LED headlights run inwards with their wedge shape. The profile balances the exterior design with the symmetrical lighting graphics of the headlights and rear lights. The contours draw their inspiration from Audi’s Quattro DNA and make the SUV seem even wider. The long roof edge spoiler flanks the rear window at the side, with a steeply raked C pillar.

The interior of the 2022 Audi Q3 consists of a driver-focussed cockpit with three-dimensionally styled elements. Its central element is the MMI touch display with its high-gloss black glass-look surround, while the air con controls are positioned underneath and tilted 10 degrees toward the driver. The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is a standard fitment featuring the MMI navigation plus. There is also a 10.1-inch touch display in the middle of the dashboard. The top end ‘Technology’ variants also pack more premium features like Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, ambient lighting with 30 colour options, wireless phone charger, a 180W Audi sound system, Audi Drive Select and much more.

The 2022 Audi Q3 features a 2.0-litre petrol engine which develops 187 bhp and 320 Nm, paired to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive system. It does the 0-100 kmph sprint in 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 222 kmph.
