Honda Shine 100 DX

Introduction

• Honda launched the new Shine 100 DX in India in August 2025.
• The new Honda Shine 100 DX is slotted above the exiting Shine 100 motorcycle.
• With the DX suffix and new features, the motorcycle is positioned as a more premium and stylish offering.
• This DX variant indeed offers better visual appeal and comfort.
• Notably, it stands out with its bold graphics, chrome accents, and an LCD instrument cluster.

Features and Equipment

• Honda is offering the Shine 100 DX in four colours including a Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Geny Gray Metallic, and Athletic Blue Metallic.
• It is built on the same steel chassis as the standard Shine 100.
• However, the DX rides on telescopic front forks and five-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers.
• It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped in tubeless tyres for added convenience.

Engine and Gearbox

• Powering the Honda Shine 100 DX is the existing 98.98cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine.
• This mill produces 7.28bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.04Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm.
• On the transmission front, the engine comes mated to a four-speed manual gearbox.
