Detail
Ducati has launched two new BS6 models in the Ducati Scrambler family, the Scrambler Desert Sled in a new colour, and the new Scrambler Nightshift. The new Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is priced at ? 9.80 lakh (Ex-showroom), and will replace the Scrambler Cafe Racer and Full Throtlle variants. The Scrambler Nightshift is essentially a blend of the two models, and sports a cafe racer styled seat, wide aluminium handlebar, rather than cafe racer-styled clip-ons, and a chopped front mud-guard. The rear mud-guard has been completely done away with. The 803 cc, L-twin, two-valve engine is finished in black and puts out 73 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 66.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,750 rpm. The Nighshift is equipped with Pirelli MT60 tyres with spoked wheels.
The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled shares the same enine with the Scrambler Nightshift, but has been introduced with a new colour and livery. The new "Sparkling Blue" livery with red and white details on the fuel tank and mudguards offer fresh appeal to the Desert Sled, and also pays homage to Enduro bikes of the 1980s.
The Desert Sled offeres more suspension travel, with 200 mm travel front and rear, along with high front mudguard and extended rear fender give it the off-road look of enduro bikes from the past. The Desert Sled is the off-road spec model in the Ducati Scrambler family. There are no other changes on the BS6 Desert Sled, and it comes with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres on its 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear spoked wheel combination.
Both the Scrambler Nightshift and the Scrambler Desert Sled share the same engine, and come with a 6-speed gearbox, with a slipper clutch that limits rear wheel destabilisation during aggressive downshifts. Bookings for the new Scrambler Nightshift and Scrambler Desert Sled are now open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai. Deliveries are expected to begin immediately.
