Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe

The all-new Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 2.55 crore (ex-showroom, India). The two-door coupe is Mercedes-Benz India’s fourth AMG launch in 2018. Just so you know, India gets only the coupe version of the car, however, the international markets see the Cabriolet version too.

New Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe Engine Specifications

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S 63 Couple is powered by an AMG 4.0-litre V8 Bi-turbo that makes 612 bhp and 900 Nm of peak torque. This one replaces the 5.5-litre V8 which made its way under the hood previously. The engine comes coupled to an AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission. The AMG S 63 Coupe can sprint from standstill to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph, however, the AMG Driver’s package increases that limit to 300kmph.

Inside, the two-door 2018 Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe features a host of innovations that have been carried over from the S-Class saloon. This includes the latest Generation 4.5 driver assistance systems and widescreen digital cockpit and infotainment display. The driver assistance system has been integrated into the car's sat-nav that allows it to autonomously brake, accelerate and turn the steering wheel. The dual 12.3-inch displays are now housed behind a single glass pane, something we first saw on the new generation E-Class. The steering wheel is new as well with touch-sensitive controls, while the infotainment system is equipped with the latest version of the COMAND interface. In addition, the S63 AMG Coupe comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as wireless smartphone charging.
