Mercedes-Maybach SL 680

Introduction 

• The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is Maybach’s open-top, two-seater luxury grand tourer.   

• This two-seater car is based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63. 

• A highlight of the grand tourer is that it is Maybach’s first two-door model in nearly 90 years. 

• It uses ‘4MATIC’ plus ‘AWD’ with its prime focus on effortless cruising.  

Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 – Exterior 

• The SL 680 gets a Maybach-specific front end with a prominent upright grille and vertical chrome slats. 

• Its bumper along with the surrounding trim are detailed and cleaner as compared to the AMG SL 63.  

• This car is available in distinctive two-tone exterior themes. 

• Then, it boasts 21-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres.  

• Adding on, the soft-top has a Maybach pattern which creates a visual appeal.  

•  Furthermore, its rear gets a unique rear skirt with chrome trim, a dedicated diffuser design, and bespoke three dimensional-patterned LED taillights. 

Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 – Interior 

• The SL680’s cabin is trimmed in white Nappa leather with extra padding, which gives it a lounge-like feel.  

• Its seats are heated, cooled and equipped with massage functions.  

• While, Mercedes’ ‘Airscarf’ system is also included for neck-level warm air comfort. 

• On the tech side, it features a 12.3-inch digital driver display and an 11.9-inch central infotainment screen.  

• This infotainment screen can be electrically tilted to reduce glare when the top is down. 

• Adding on, the infotainment screen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well.  

• Since the SL 680 does not have rear seats, the space behind the front seats has been built neatly for extra storage. 

Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 – Powertrain 

• The SL 680 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. 

• This mill churns a power output of 585bhp and 800Nm of torque. 

• Moreover, this engine comes mated with an nine-speed automatic transmission.
