About Triumph Tiger 800
Triumph has launched the 2018 Tiger 800 in India. It is available in two large series - XC and XR, with the former being off-road friendly. India is getting only three variants as of now - XR, XRx, and the top-of-the-line XCx model.
2018 Triumph Tiger 800 Engine Specifications
The all-new Tiger 800 gets powered by a comprehensively updated 800 cc, in-line three-cylinder engine. It makes the same power as before - 94 bhp at 9500 rpm and 78.8 Nm of peak torque at 8050 rpm and the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The gears on the primary drive as well as the crankshaft have been revised too and the bike now offers better off-road traction and improved low-speed response and acceleration. The exhaust system on the new Tiger 800 is lighter, free flowing and smaller as compared to the outgoing model. Another feature is that the 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 gets the 'Off-Road Pro' riding mode on the top-of-the-line variant which gives more control when riding off the tarmac. Moreover, anti-lock braking system now can be switched off for the rear wheel.
