The Aprilia SR 125 scooter is the entry-level scooter in the company’s India line-up. The refreshed SR 125 was launched in India back in November 2021 and is offered in one variant, priced at Rs. 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter is offered in four colour options – Red, White, Blue, and Grey, with new sportier graphics and livery.
Visually, the scooter comes with a redesigned front section, which comes with a dual-tone treatment, featuring a glossy black head unit, which comes with these new sculpted scoops. We still get the indicators on each side. The styling of the front apron has also changed and now with a more aggressive-looking headlamp cluster with matte-finished black inserts and LED headlamps. The scooter also gets new seats and a digital instrument cluster.
The updated Aprilia SR 125 continues to be powered by the 124.45 cc Single Cylinder, 4-stroke, Air-cooled, SOHC, 3-valve engine. The motor is tuned to generate a power output of 9.79 bhp at 7700 rpm and develops a peak torque output of 9.70 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine comes mated to an automatic CVT or Continuous Variable Transmission, as standard.
In terms of dimensions and cycle parts, the SR 125 remains unchanged. The scooter measures - 1985 mm in length, 806 mm in width, and 1365 mm in height. The scooter comes with 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends, shod in 120/70 section tubeless tyres, while braking duties are carried out by a disc brake up front and a drum unit at the rear, with CBS or Combi-Braking System as standard. The SR 125 also comes with the same 6-litre fuel tank capacity.
