The third generation of the Ather 450X has arrived and the electric scooter gets big little changes to make it a better product than before. It's priced at Rs. 1.56 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and brings the big updates at a marginal price hike of Rs. 5,000. But is it enough in a segment with electric scooters being launched left, right, and centre? Sameer Contractor headed to Bengaluru, home of Ather, to check out the latest generation of the 450X. एथर ऐनर्जी इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन के बाज़ार में उजाले की तरह है और हर नए मॉडल के साथ इन स्कूटर्स में सिर्फ सुधार हो रहा है. अब जब पूरे भारत में यह व्यापार शुरू कर चुकी है, ब्रांड 450 प्लस और 450 एक्स ग्राहकों उपलब्ध कराने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है. 450 से तुलना करें तो नई एक्स के साथ बड़ा लीथियम-आयन बैटरी पैक दिया गया है जो 2.9 किलोवाट क्षमता वाला है, वहीं इसकी इलेक्ट्रिक मोटर 6 किलोवाट या 8 बीएचपी ताकत पैदा करती है. ये ताकत में 450 से हल्की ज़्यादा है लेकिन जब आप इसे चलाकर देखेंगे तो इसकी रफ्तार का अंदाज़ा आपको हो जाएगा. एथर 450X को 4 राइडिंग मोड्स - ईसीओ, राइड, स्पोर्ट और वार्प में पेश किया गया है जिसके वार्प मोड में आपको सबसे ज़्यादा टॉर्क मिलता है. स्कूटर के वज़न के बंटवारे में बदलावा किया गया है और अब यह 47:53 अनुपात में आती है. अगला हिस्सा हल्का है जिसका कारण हल्का डिजिटल कंसोल और हैडल हैं जो इसे एक फुर्तीली स्कूटर बनाते हैं. 450 के मुकाबले नई स्कूटर के भार में 4 किग्रा कमी आई है और जब आप इसे चला रहे होते हैं तो इसकी दिशा बदलना बहुत आसान काम होता है. एथर का दावा है कि एक चार्ज में 450X 85 किलोमीटर चलती है, लेकिन ये सिर्फ ईको मोड का आंकड़ा है. राइड मोड पर एक चार्ज में यह 75 किमी चलती है, वहीं वार्प मोड में यह रेन्ज घटकर 50 किमी हो जाती है. स्कूटर की सवारी कर रहे हैं समीर कॉन्ट्रैक्टर.
