Triumph Motorcycle India has announced extended warranty schemes for its complete bike range. The extended warranty can be availed over and above the standard 24-month warranty available and is relevant for an additional two years. The British manufacturer announced the extended warranty on the sidelines of the 2019 Street Twin and the Street Scrambler launch. The new bikes are also included under the extended warranty scheme that covers unlimited kilometres on all Triumph motorcycles in a bid to offer hassle-free ownership to the customers. The warranty is globally applicable at all of Triumph's global dealerships and is transferrable too, in case of a new owner.

F1: 2019 Mercedes-AMG W10 Formula 1 Car Unveiled
With five championships under its belt, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team is eyeing for its sixth world title this year. The team has unveiled the Mercedes W10 Formula 1 - its 2019 F1 challenger. The Brackley-based outfit released images of the new car, while W10 also made its first public appearance at the Silverstone circuit in the UK as drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas began a shakedown. The car will have its first proper outing at a race track for the pre-testing in Barcelona, ahead of the new season that starts in March.

Shahan Ali Mohsin Becomes The Youngest Driver To Start In The MRF F1600 Championship
Agra boy Shahan Ali Mohsin has become the youngest racing driver ever to start in the MRF F1600 championship. The 14-year-old made his single-seater racing debut with the MRF F1600 series as he moves up from the go-kart championships. The previous youngest age for a driver in the series was 16-years. The race weekend conducted last week was held as a support event to the international MRF Challenge (F2000) with plenty of international drivers making it to the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai for the championship.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V FI ABS Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 98,644
TVS Motor Company has rolled out the ABS-equipped version of the Apache RTR 160 4V in the country. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V ABS is available only on the fuel-injected version for now and is priced at Rs. 98,644 (ex-showroom, Pune). The ABS version of the motorcycle is priced at a premium of Rs. 6999 over the non-ABS model. The Apache 160 carburetted version though still misses out on the feature for now, but is likely to go on sale in the following weeks and will command a premium of around Rs. 5000. The two-wheeler maker is yet to announce the addition of the safety feature officially, but the Apache RTR 160 4V FI ABS is available for bookings at select dealerships pan India.

Arjun Maini To Race In 24 Hours Of Le Mans This Year
Indian racing driver Arjun Maini has decided to switch to sportscar racing from Formula 2. The driver will be competing in the Le Mans 24 Hours this year and will follow it up with a full season campaign in the European Le Mans Series. The 21-year-old becomes only the third Indian driver after Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok to be part of a Le Mans weekend. Maini has signed a deal with RLR MSport and will be driving the new Oreca 07 in the endurance LMP2 class with co-drivers John Farano from Canada and Brazil's Bruno Senna. The Brazilian though will not contest in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with RLR, given his existing commitments with Rebellion Racing in the LMP1 class. RLR has promised a big replacement to Senna and will announce the driver's name when the official entry list for Le Mans 2019 is released.

Toyota Confirms Participation In 2019-20 World Endurance Championship
Toyota has announced that will be participating in the 2019-20 World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Japanese automaker confirmed its participating in the WEC in the first season run to the winter-series format as part of its annual motorsport statement. With manufacturers Audi and Porsche pulling out of LMP1 in 2016 and 2017 respectively, Toyota was the only factory team left in the WEC's premier class category. The team has continued to race against a host of new entrants ever since the seasoned manufacturers pulled out. This means the TS050 Hybrids will be back for contention later this year in the LMP1 space.

F1: Haas Reveals New Black And Gold Livery For 2019 Challenger
The Haas Formula 1 team has pulled the wraps off the F1 car livery for 2019. The American outfit brings back the black and gold colour scheme that reflects its new title sponsor. The team is now funded by the UK-based energy drinks company Rich Energy after it struck a deal with the latter late last year. In addition to the colour scheme, the F1 team has also been renamed as Rich Energy Haas F1 team for the upcoming season. While the new livery was showcased on the 2018 show car at the launch event in London, the team has released digital images of the VF-19 online showcasing its 2019 F1 challenger.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the Combined Braking System (CBS) on its popular selling CB Shine range. The safety feature will be mandatory on all 125 cc and below two-wheelers from April 1, 2019, onwards, and is now offered on the entry-level variants of the motorcycles. Both the Honda CB Shine and CB Shine SP get CBS on the drum brake variant, while the range-topping disc version continues to be on sale. The Honda CB Shine CBS Drum brake version is priced at Rs. 58,338. The Honda CB Shine SP Drum CBS, meanwhile, is priced at Rs. 64,098 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). Both versions are priced at a premium of Rs. 559 over the non-CBS variants.

Royal Enfield Hikes Prices Across 350-500 cc Motorcycle Range By Up To Rs. 1500
Chennai-based bike maker Royal Enfield has silently updated the prices across its motorcycle range this month. The manufacturer has increased prices on its 350-500 cc line-up by up to Rs. 1500. Royal Enfield is yet to officially announce the price hike, but the dealers are retailing the bikes with the updated prices starting this month. The price increase affects all models including the Bullet 350 and 500, Classic 350 and 500 as well as the Himalayan. Prices for the newly launched Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 remain unchanged.

Bajaj Auto is all set to re-introduce the Pulsar NS200 in its signature yellow paint scheme. The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 was originally launched with the yellow paint job in 2012 but the same was discontinued over the years in India with the model having been discontinued briefly. The new paint scheme is likely to join the existing colour options - wild red, graphite black, and mirage white. The body graphics and the overall design remains unchanged though. The bikes were first unveiled at the INTERMOT show in Germany last year and were also on display at EICMA later. The 2019 Triumph Street Twin and Street Scrambler get plenty of upgrades for the new model year that include both cosmetic changes and new tech wizardry on board. The bikes get a substantial upgrade over the current version and are likely to see upgrades to the pricing as well starting around Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Street Twin retains the same silhouette as the current model but gets a redesigned headlamp, new machined detailing and brushed aluminium brackets.

India Kawasaki Motor (IKM) has commenced deliveries of the 2019 Ninja ZX-6R in India. The middleweight supersport offering was first confirmed for India in November last year when the company started accepting bookings, while prices for the motorcycle were revealed on January 15, 2019. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is priced at Rs. 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The first example of the ZX-6R was delivered to a customer in Mumbai with the bike offered in the single Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) colour.

The Suzuki Access 125 has received a new entry-level variant equipped with Combined Braking System (CBS) and drum brakes. The new Suzuki Access 125 CBS drum brake version is priced at Rs. 56,667 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it about Rs. 690 more expensive than the non-CBS version. The safety feature, which aids in more effective braking will soon be a standard feature on all two-wheelers below 125 cc, and that's why this will be the new entry-level version on the Access starting from April 2019. Meanwhile, the non-CBS drum brake version is still available for sale priced at Rs. 55,977 (ex-showroom) and is likely to remain that way till stocks last.
