The C12 is BGauss’ latest electric scooter for the Indian market and the company’s fourth overall. Built around a tubular chassis, the C12 features body panels made from ABS and polypropylene plastics resulting in a scooter that weighs just 107 kg. On the design front, the C12 does get some retro design cues such as the rounded headlight while the angular panel design also lend it a sporty look.
Coming to the mechanical, the C12 features a 3.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers a hub-mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. The motor has a peak power rating of 2,500 W and provides 1,000 W of continuous power. The result is a scooter that hits 40 kmph in 8.5 seconds, top out at 50 kmph and offers a claimed range of up to 143 km.
The BGauss C12 rides on a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear steel wheels with a telescopic fork up front and four-step adjustable hydraulic dual springs at the rear. The suspension is tuned for riding comfort and offers easy adjustment as well.
