The BMW K 1600 series is the Bavarian automaker's flagship touring motorcycle series, and it gets three models - The K 1600 B (K 1600 Bagger), K 1600 GTL, & the top-of-the-line K 1600 Grand America. Powering the BMW Motorrad K 1600 Grand America is a 1,649 cc inline six-cylinder motor, which remains to be the only inline-six engine on a production motorcycle available now. Output is huge as expected, with 158 bhp at 6,750 rpm and a whopping 180 Nm torque at 5,250 rpm.
The BMW K 1600 Grand America gets all the bells and whistles that you could dream of on a touring motorcycle. It gets a full LED headlamp, a large 10.25 inch full-HD TFT colour display with navigation and smartphone connectivity, audio system 2.0, BMW ShiftCam variable camshaft control system, wireless smartphone charger, USB charging port, radar guided active cruise control, keyless entry, heated grips & seats, and more.
The K 1600 Grand America’s design is more in line to the K 1600 B than the K 1600 GTL, and this is essentially a K 1600 B with the big topcase & pillion seat backrest. The K 1600 Grand America's topcase gets integrated speakers for the pillion, and a USB charging socket.
In addition to the different design, the topcase now also has built in speakers for the pillion rider, and a USB charging socket. The tail lights are also present on the topcase along with the panniers, unlike K 1600 GTL, where the tail light is on the body of the motorcycle. The K 1600 Grand America is offered with the same two colour options as the K 1600 B, which include Style Exclusive (Dark brownish green), & Blackstorm Metallic.

Big, heavy, with hard-case panniers and more than enough wind protection, the K 1600 Grand America is built for the long, open road, to cover long distances in comfort and ease.
