  • What's New on BYD Denza D9?

    Introduction

    • The Denza D9 is an upcoming luxurious three-row MPV from BYD’s luxury sub-brand, that will launch in India in November 2026.
    • It will arrive as a fully built-up (FBU) model and will be sold exclusively through standalone Denza outlets.
    • The D9 is positioned to rival other high-end MPVs in the market, particularly the Toyota Vellfire and the Lexus LM.
    • Denza functions as the luxury division of BYD, like what Lexus represents for Toyota.

    Denza D9 – Exterior

    • The Denza D9 boasts an imposing MPV silhouette designed to offer maximum interior space.
    • It is a massive vehicle, measuring more than 5.2 metres in length.
    • This MPV has a long wheelbase that measures 3,100 mm.
    • Its proportions make it much longer than both the Toyota Vellfire and the Lexus LM.

    Denza D9 – Interior

    • Inside, the D9 offers a luxurious experience with a long equipment list and a three-row cabin.
    • The dashboard has a high-tech and attractive three-screen setup.
    • The roof-mounted screen and door-mounted displays that control individual seat functions are optional extras.
    • All rows are electrically operated with ventilation, and the front two rows have massage functions.
    • For safety and convenience, it includes 9 airbags and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

    Denza D9 – Powertrain

    • The all-electric D9 is equipped with a massive 115 kWh LFP Blade battery pack.
    • In its home market of China, it is offered in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations, producing up to 550 bhp.
    • The MPV can deliver an impressive range of up to 800 kilometres on the Chinese test cycle.
    • It features a top speed electronically capped at 180 kmph.
    • The vehicle supports ultra-fast charging, being compatible with 1500 kW 'Flash' charging in China.

Other Upcoming BYD Models are the Xia, Seal U, Atto 2 EV and Denza Z9
