BYD Denza Z9

Introduction  

• The Denza Z9 GT is an all-electric shooting brake set to make its India debut alongside the D9 in November 2026.  

• Arriving as a fully built-up (FBU) model, it serves as the halo car for BYD’s luxury sub-brand, Denza.  

• The Z9 GT is designed to highlight the brand’s global ambitions, targeting mature markets and high-performance rivals.  

• In the Indian market, its closest competitor will be the Porsche Taycan.  

Denza Z9 GT – Exterior  

• The Z9 GT features a swoopy, full-blown shooting brake design that focuses firmly on dynamic capabilities.  

• Like its MPV sibling, it is an exceedingly long vehicle, measuring over 5.1 metres in length.  

• The car is underpinned by a notably long wheelbase measuring 3,125 mm to maximize stability and interior space.  

Denza Z9 GT – Interior  

• The cabin of the Z9 GT offers a spacious layout with comfortable seating for five passengers.  

• It provides high practicality for a performance car, featuring 495 litres of rear boot space.  

• Other than the boot, the Z9 GT also incorporates a practical frunk for extra storage.  

Denza Z9 GT – Powertrain  

• The Z9 GT gets a punchy tri-motor setup which has one electric motor at the front and two powering the rear wheels.  

• It has a combined power output of a staggering 1,140 bhp and 1,210 Nm of torque!  

• Thanks to this power, the shooting brake can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 269 kmph.  

• It packs a 122 kWh cell-to-body LFP battery that delivers a WLTP-certified range of up to 600 kilometres.  

• The battery supports up to 1500 kW of 'Flash' fast charging and up to 11 kW of standard AC charging.
