Detail
Fiat Punto received a mid-life upgrade in 2014 comprising minor cosmetic changes and a new nameplate. Now christened Punto Evo, it derives power from -1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel units from the pre-facelifted model. Missing out on the auto-box, the engines are paired to the five-speed manual unit. Aesthetic changes made to the Fiat Punto Evo are minimal, restricting to minor styling and design additions.
Unlike the global model, the India-spec version received a handful of aesthetic upgrades, with most of the changes made to the front profile. The face gets new swooping headlamps, restyled bumper and redesigned bonnet sporting prominent lines. It is largely same from the side save for the 15-inch, diamond cut alloy wheels. The more powerful Punto Evo 90 gets slightly larger 16-inch alloy wheels sporting a different design. Other than the above mentioned changes, it also gets LED tail-lamps, these are the same units that adorn the international model. Under the skin, Punto Evo gets an option between 1.2 litre FIRE petrol engine good for 67bhp and 1.3 litre Multijet engine making 90bhp. Both these engines are mated to the conventional five-speed manual transmission. Inside the cabin, a smart tech AVN with 5-inch display sits inside. Other infotainment features integrated in the cabin include Bluetooth audio streaming, Bluetooth telephony, navigation system, steering mounted controls, USB, AUX & SD card.
