The Hyundai Santro is a subcompact car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai from 1998 to 2014. It was then succeeded by the Hyundai i10 in 2007. It was initially offered with a 1.1-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, followed by a 1.5-liter version in 2000. The Santro was one of the first cars to be exported from South Korea and was very successful in the Indian market.
If you're looking for a stylish and modern car, the Hyundai Santro is a great option. The design of the Santro is sleek and sporty, making it a great choice for anyone who wants to turn heads on the road. The interior of the Santro is just as impressive as the exterior, with comfortable seats and a variety of high-tech features. Whether you're looking for a practical family car or a stylish ride for yourself, the Hyundai Santro is sure to impress.
The Hyundai Santro is a reliable and affordable car that offers great value for money. It is a popular choice among first-time car buyers and those looking for a budget-friendly option. The Santro has a comfortable ride and good fuel economy, making it an ideal choice for city driving. It is also packed with features, including remote keyless entry, power windows, and an integrated audio system.
Hyundai Santro is a popular hatchback car that was launched in India in 1998. The car was very successful in the Indian market and was one of the best-selling cars for Hyundai. It was later discontinued in 2014 but made a comeback in 2018 with a new model. One of the main attractions of the Santro is its fuel efficiency and low running costs. So, how does the Santro fare in terms of mileage?
The Santro has always been known for its excellent fuel economy and the new model is no different. The petrol version of the car gives an impressive 20 km/l while the diesel version gives an even better 24 km/l. This makes it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its segment. With rising fuel prices, this is a big plus point for the Santro. Additionally, the low running costs make it an ideal choice for budget-minded buyers.
The Hyundai Santro is a great car to drive. It’s comfortable, efficient and stylish – everything you could want in a city car. The only thing that lets it down is the engine noise, which can be quite loud at higher speeds. But overall, the driving experience is very good.
The Hyundai Santro is a great car for those who want a reliable and affordable ride. In general, the Hyundai Santro is not built for tough off-road conditions. It does not have a four-wheel drive system or high clearance, which are essential for driving in rough terrain. However, this does not mean that the Santro is completely useless when it comes to off-roading.
With its small size and light weight, the Santro can actually handle some off-road situations quite well. For example, it can easily navigate through narrow trails and over small obstacles. And if you do get stuck, the Santro is easy to tow out with a standard tow truck.
So while the Hyundai Santro may not be the ideal car for serious off-roaders, it can still hold its own in moderate conditions. And if you ever do find yourself in a situation where you need to get off the beaten path, the Santro will definitely get you there – even if it’s not the most comfortable ride.
The interior of Hyundai Santro is comfortable and roomy. The seats are upholstered in a high-quality fabric, and the cabin has plenty of head- and legroom. The Santro also comes with a generous list of standard features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, and steering-wheel-mounted controls.

These features make the Santro a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and feature-rich car.
The Hyundai Santro is packed with tech and infotainment features that will keep you entertained and connected on the road. The 7-inch touchscreen display is perfect for accesssing your favourite apps, while the hands-free phone system ensures you can stay focused on the road. The Santro also comes with rear-view camera, GPS navigation and parking sensors to make life easier.
Hyundai Santro is one of the most popular cars in India and it is known for its safety features. The car comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and seatbelt reminder for the driver and passenger. The car also has a speed-sensing door lock system which automatically locks the doors when the car reaches a certain speed.
There are four variants of Hyundai Santro – Xing, XL, XO and XG. All four have different engine specifications and offer different features. So, which variant is the best for you?
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option with a good fuel economy, then the Santro Xing would be a good choice. It has a 1.1L petrol engine and comes with features like power steering, front power windows and central locking.
The Santro XL is the next step up and offers a more powerful 1.2L petrol engine. It also comes with additional features like rear power windows, rear wiper/washer and body-coloured door handles.
If you want all the bells and whistles, then go for the top-of-the-line Santro XG. It has a 1.6L petrol engine and comes loaded with features like air conditioning, alloy wheels, fog lamps and an audio system with CD player.
So, which variant of Hyundai Santro is right for you? It really depends on your needs and budget. But whichever variant you choose, you can be sure that you’re getting a great car!
The Hyundai Santro is a subcompact car that was first introduced in 1998. It was one of the first cars in its segment and quickly became a popular choice for budget-conscious buyers. In recent years, the Santro has lost some market share to newer, more modern competitors such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai i10. However, it remains a popular choice among Indian buyers looking for an affordable and reliable car.
So, which cars does the Hyundai Santro compete against in its segment? Here is a look at some of its main rivals:
Maruti Suzuki Swift: The Swift is a newer competitor that has quickly become one of the most popular cars in India. It offers a stylish design, good fuel economy, and a strong engine.
Hyundai i10: The i10 is another popular option from Hyundai. It offers similar fuel economy and performance to the Santro but has a more modern design.
Chevrolet Beat: The Beat is a small car from Chevrolet that offers good value for money. It has a stylish design and good fuel economy but is not as well-equipped as some of its rivals.
Ford Figo: The Figo is Ford's contender
The Hyundai Santro has been a popular car since its launch in 1998. It's a reliable, affordable car that's comfortable to drive and has a good reputation for safety. Although it's no longer in production, the Santro remains a popular choice for used car buyers. Reliability is one of the Hyundai Santro's best features. It's a well-built car that doesn't break down often. Even if something does go wrong, parts and labor are relatively cheap. The Santro also holds its value well, so you won't lose much money if you decide to sell it later on.
Comfort is another selling point of the Santro. The seats are spacious and supportive, and the suspension offers a smooth ride even on rough roads. The cabin is quiet too, so you can enjoy a relaxed journey. Although the Hyundai Santro is a reliable car, it's not without its faults. Some owners have reported problems with the electrical system, while others have had issues with the engine cooling fan.
Pros
- Good interior quality
- 7-inch touch screen infotainment unit
- Compact yet reasonably spacious
Cons
- Bouncy ride at higher speeds
- High-set, non adjustable driver seats
