  • About Hyundai Santro

The new 2018 Hyundai Santro was finally launched in India. The car retains its well-known tall design. It is more rounded than before looks more luxurious and emphasizes the larger spacing of decorative lines in the overall design. The Z-shaped touch on the side of the car adds to the overall appearance. On the front, it has a stacked grille and taillights. However, the headlights are halogen lamps, and no projector or LED daytime running lights are provided. The fog lamps installed at high positions look different, but they are perfectly integrated with the design. The car has few lines, with a large boot lid, a large windshield, and a stubby taillight.

Hyundai Motor brought back the Santromodels with a new design and more features.

It is available in petrol engine and dual fuel version (petrol with CNG).

There are currently six different versions of this car such as Era Executive, Magna Executive, Magna, Sportz Executive, Sportz, and Asta.

Santro has a modern iconic large cascading grille. In addition, it has halogen headlights with integrated turn signal lights and fog lights under the headlights.

There is a wiper and a rear window washer at the back. The great features that Santrooffers are that rear heating and a rear parking camera.

Santro comes with 14-inch steel wheels for high-spec models, while other options come standard with 13-inch steel wheels. In addition, it has six colors to select from. The colors are also very decent. The interior has a beige and black theme.

Santrooffers a 6- 9inch touch screen infotainment system that supports navigation and smartphone connection via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as smartphone mirroring. The multifunction steering wheel is equipped with audio, Bluetooth, and voice recognition switches.

Hyundai has equipped the CNG model with fire extinguishers. The car is powered by a 1.1-litre inline four-cylinder gasoline engine that can produce 68 hp and 99 Nm of torque and CNG engine -59 hp and 85 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is equipped with a five-speed manual or automatic transmission, while the CNG model is only equipped with a five-speed manual transmission.

    Hyundai Santro Expert Review

    line

The Hyundai Santro is a subcompact car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai from 1998 to 2014. It was then succeeded by the Hyundai i10 in 2007. It was initially offered with a 1.1-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, followed by a 1.5-litre version in 2000. The Santro was one of the first cars to be exported from South Korea and was very successful in the Indian market.

    How is the Design?

If you're looking for a stylish and modern car, the Hyundai Santro is a great option. The design of the Santro is sleek and sporty, making it a great choice for anyone who wants to turn heads on the road. The interior of the Santro is just as impressive as the exterior, with comfortable seats and a variety of high-tech features. Whether you're looking for a practical family car or a stylish ride for yourself, the Hyundai Santro is sure to impress.

    How does it perform?

The Hyundai Santro is a reliable and affordable car that offers great value for money. It is a popular choice among first-time car buyers and those looking for a budget-friendly option. The Santro has a comfortable ride and good fuel economy, making it an ideal choice for city driving. It is also packed with features, including remote keyless entry, power windows, and an integrated audio system.

    How’s the Mileage?

Hyundai Santro is a popular hatchback car that was launched in India in 1998. The car was very successful in the Indian market and was one of the best-selling cars for Hyundai. It was later discontinued in 2014 but made a comeback in 2018 with a new model. One of the main attractions of the Santro is its fuel efficiency and low running costs. So, how does the Santro fare in terms of mileage?
The Santro has always been known for its excellent fuel economy and the new model is no different. The petrol version of the car gives an impressive 20 km/l while the diesel version gives an even better 24 km/l. This makes it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its segment. With rising fuel prices, this is a big plus point for the Santro. Additionally, the low running costs make it an ideal choice for budget-minded buyers.

    How’s the Driving Experience?

The Hyundai Santro is a great car to drive. It’s comfortable, efficient and stylish – everything you could want in a city car. The only thing that lets it down is the engine noise, which can be quite loud at higher speeds. But overall, the driving experience is very good.

    How’s its Off-road Capability?

The Hyundai Santro is a great car for those who want a reliable and affordable ride. In general, the Hyundai Santro is not built for tough off-road conditions. It does not have a four-wheel drive system or high clearance, which are essential for driving in rough terrain. However, this does not mean that the Santro is completely useless when it comes to off-roading.

With its small size and light weight, the Santro can actually handle some off-road situations quite well. For example, it can easily navigate through narrow trails and over small obstacles. And if you do get stuck, the Santro is easy to tow out with a standard tow truck.

So while the Hyundai Santro may not be the ideal car for serious off-roaders, it can still hold its own in moderate conditions. And if you ever do find yourself in a situation where you need to get off the beaten path, the Santro will definitely get you there – even if it’s not the most comfortable ride.

    What’s the Interior like?

The interior of Hyundai Santro is comfortable and roomy. The seats are upholstered in a high-quality fabric, and the cabin has plenty of head- and legroom. The Santro also comes with a generous list of standard features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, and steering-wheel-mounted controls.

    Tech and Infotainment

The Hyundai Santro is packed with tech and infotainment features that will keep you entertained and connected on the road. The 7-inch touchscreen display is perfect for accesssing your favourite apps, while the hands-free phone system ensures you can stay focused on the road. The Santro also comes with rear-view camera, GPS navigation and parking sensors to make life easier.

    Safety Equipment

Hyundai Santro is one of the most popular cars in India and it is known for its safety features. The car comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and seatbelt reminder for the driver and passenger. The car also has a speed-sensing door lock system which automatically locks the doors when the car reaches a certain speed.

    Which variant to buy?

There are four variants of Hyundai Santro – Xing, XL, XO and XG. All four have different engine specifications and offer different features. So, which variant is the best for you?

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option with a good fuel economy, then the Santro Xing would be a good choice. It has a 1.1L petrol engine and comes with features like power steering, front power windows and central locking.
The Santro XL is the next step up and offers a more powerful 1.2L petrol engine. It also comes with additional features like rear power windows, rear wiper/washer and body-coloured door handles.

If you want all the bells and whistles, then go for the top-of-the-line Santro XG. It has a 1.6L petrol engine and comes loaded with features like air conditioning, alloy wheels, fog lamps and an audio system with CD player.
So, which variant of Hyundai Santro is right for you? It really depends on your needs and budget. But whichever variant you choose, you can be sure that you’re getting a great car!

Which Cars Compete in this Segment?

The Hyundai Santro is a subcompact car that was first introduced in 1998. It was one of the first cars in its segment and quickly became a popular choice for budget-conscious buyers. In recent years, the Santro has lost some market share to newer, more modern competitors such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai i10. However, it remains a popular choice among Indian buyers looking for an affordable and reliable car.

So, which cars does the Hyundai Santro compete against in its segment? Here is a look at some of its main rivals:

Maruti Suzuki Swift: The Swift is a newer competitor that has quickly become one of the most popular cars in India. It offers a stylish design, good fuel economy, and a strong engine.

Hyundai i10: The i10 is another popular option from Hyundai. It offers similar fuel economy and performance to the Santro but has a more modern design.
Chevrolet Beat: The Beat is a small car from Chevrolet that offers good value for money. It has a stylish design and good fuel economy but is not as well-equipped as some of its rivals.

Ford Figo: The Figo is Ford's contender

    Verdict (Value for Money?)

The Hyundai Santro has been a popular car since its launch in 1998. It's a reliable, affordable car that's comfortable to drive and has a good reputation for safety. Although it's no longer in production, the Santro remains a popular choice for used car buyers. Reliability is one of the Hyundai Santro's best features. It's a well-built car that doesn't break down often. Even if something does go wrong, parts and labor are relatively cheap. The Santro also holds its value well, so you won't lose much money if you decide to sell it later on.

Comfort is another selling point of the Santro. The seats are spacious and supportive, and the suspension offers a smooth ride even on rough roads. The cabin is quiet too, so you can enjoy a relaxed journey. Although the Hyundai Santro is a reliable car, it's not without its faults. Some owners have reported problems with the electrical system, while others have had issues with the engine cooling fan.
