The Ford Freestyle cross hatchback has been launched in India with prices from Rs 5.09 lakh for the petrol powered version and Rs 6.09 lakh for the diesel-powered variants. The new Ford Freestyle also debuts a new look for the Figo family along with a new 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The Ford Freestyle Ground clearance is at 190 mm and the cross hatchback is also available with a diesel engine. There is no automatic on offer just yet but expect one to come soon.

MG India today laid out all its future plans for India, including the launch of the first car that it will bring to India - a new SUV. MG has also announced that this new SUV will not be a sub 4-meter SUV but will be slightly larger and will have a petrol and diesel engine option. The new SUV will also be made at the Halol plant in Gujarat and will have up to 80 percent localization. The Halol plant itself will go through a major makeover with over Rs 5000 Crore investment planned in the next four to five years. MG is owned by Chinese auto giant SAIC group, which is the seventh largest automaker in the world.
