The Renault Captur 2017 has been launched in India with very competitive pricing that puts it straight up against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano, Mahindra Scorpio and even the Renault Duster. The new Captur SUV is available with both a petrol and a diesel engine, both 1.5-litres and gets only a manual gearbox option and no automatic just yet. The Captur is priced very competitively with pricing for the petrol starting at Rs 9.99 lakh and the diesel starting at Rs 11.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Captur diesel also gets a fully loaded ‘Platine’ variant in India.

Skoda Kodiaq, the all-new 7-seater SUV from the Czech carmaker has been finally launched in India. Being the first 7-seater from the company, Skoda India is only offering one, full-loaded Style variant of the Kodiaq SUV. With the new full-size Kodiaq, Skoda India will now compete in the territory of the popular Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mitsubihi Pajero Sport, Isuzu MU-X and even the smaller Volkswagen Tiguan. In fact, both the Tiguan and the new Skoda Kodiaq are based on the same MQB platform and get the same underpinnings. Tata Nexon subcompact SUV has finally been launched in India. Prices for the Nexon petrol start at Rs 5.85 lakh and go up to 8.59 lakh while the diesel is priced from Rs 6.85 to 9.44 lakh. The Tata Nexon comes with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine is a new 1.2-litre turbocharged unit while the diesel is a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder unit. Both cars currently only get a 6-speed manual and will be available with an AMT option soon. The Nexon also gets a brand new interior with a free standing touchscreen along with a driving mode knob.
