The Aprilia RSV4 offers a powerful V4 engine and comes with all the electronic rider aids to help even less experienced riders manage this powerful superbike. The 2021 Aprilia RSV4 is priced at Rs. 23.69 lakh, while the Tuono 1100 is priced at Rs. 20.66 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Both bikes comes to India as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and are sold via the Motoplex dealerships pan India.
The 2021 Aprilia RSV4 is the fully-faired offering and draws power frm the 1099 cc V4 motor that develops 210.7 bhp and 125 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the Tuono 1100 uses a 1077 cc V4 motor that churns out 170.1 bhp and 122 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Globally, the 2021 editions of the RSV4 and Tuono 1100 arrived late last year with cosmetic changes and the engine upgraded to the Euro5/BS6 emission regulations. In terms of kerb weight, the RSV4 tips the scales at 209 kg, while the Tuono is marginally lighter at 202 kg.
The Aprilia RSV4 comes with a semi-active suspension and uses a Smart EC 2.0 semi-active USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear. The suspension set-up comes from Ohlins. Braking performance comes from Brembo units with radial callipers at the front and floating calipers at the rear. The RSV4 and Tuono 1100 come packed with the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) system that adds ECU maps, engine brake control, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, cruise control, speed limiter and more. The bikes get six riding modes - three for road and three for track.
