The SR Storm 125 is the more rugged variant of the sporty SR 125 scooter sold by Aprilia in India. The scooter has been on sale for quite a while now and over the years has received updates to keep it relevant in the market. While the SR Strom 125 features a similar styling to the other SR models, this one gets snazzy graphics, and chunky block pattern tyres shod on three-spoke 12-inch alloy wheels. Besides that, the scooter features an LED headlamp with DRL, a semi-digital instrument console and a racing-inspired exhaust canister.
The SR Storm 125 is powered by a 124cc 3-valve fuel-injected motor that registers 9.4 bhp of max power and 8.2 Nm of peak torque mated to a CVT gearbox. The scooter is suspended by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by a 220 mm disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear, with a Combined Braking System (CBS).
Aprilia offers the SR Storm 125 in four colour options - Matte Black, Glossy White, Matte Red and Matte Yellow. Aprilia retails the SR Storm 125 at Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom), On the competition front, the SR Storm 125 goes up against the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Avenis 125 and Honda Dio 125.
The Vespa SXL 125 has an average price of Rs. 1,36,601 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is among the more expensive 125 cc scooters in India. Similarly, the Vespa SXL 150 has an average price of Rs. 1,51,554, which makes it one of the most expensive 150 cc scooters in India.

Verdict
Aprilia's SR range of performance-focused scooters has been around for a good while now. The scooters received a revision in the form of updated styling and some new features around three years back. Offering the same underpinnings as the other SR models in Aprilia’s portfolio, the SR Storm 125 is capable of taking on rough roads. While the performance is certainly noteworthy, the minimalist feature list might not be to everyone's taste and that is where the competition takes the lead.
