Introduction

• The Harley-Davidson X440 T is the latest launch to the X440 series in India.
• Earlier, the X440 was launched in 2023 after its partnership began with Hero in 2020.
• The X440 came in three variants including Denim, Vivid, and S.
• Now, the new T is positioned as the new flagship model in the 440 lineup.

Features & Equipment

• The X440 T is available in four colours including Vivid Black, Pearl White, Pearl Red, and Pearl Blue.
• Each colour appeals to a different set of buyers.
• However, the Vivid Black paint scheme is an ode to the original Harley-Davidson XR1200.
• Also, the X440 T brings a host of updates especially in terms of styling and features.
• What makes the X440 T a more compelling proposition than the standard X440, is the new tail-section design.
• It looks more proportionate with the revised sub-frame and a slight nip and tuck to the rear section.
• On the features front, the standard X440 is adequately packed, but the T takes it a notch higher.
• The notable step up includes ride-by-wire, switchable traction control, and switchable rear ABS.
• Hence there are two new ride modes enabled - Road and Rain.
• Another highlight is a segment-first panic braking alert.
• Under urgent and hard braking, the new feature activates all indicators automatically to flash and warn the traffic behind.

Engine & Gearbox

• Whichever variant of the Harley-Davidson X440 anyone chooses, the same mechanical setup remains the same.
• Powering the motorcycle is a 440cc, air/oil-cooled engine.
• It produces 27bhp and 38Nm of peak torque.
• It comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
