Hero MotorCorp launched the new Glamour Xtec, essentially a top-spec variant of the standard Glamour. It gets new features and colour schemes. The drum brake model is priced at Rs. 78,900 while the disc brake model is priced at Rs. 83,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Hero MotoCorp announced the launch of the Glamour Xtec in India. The drum brake model is priced at Rs. 78,900 while the disc brake model is priced at Rs. 83,500. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. To give you a reference, prices of the standard Glamour start at Rs. 74,900 and go up to Rs. 80,500. The Glamour Xtec is essentially a top-spec variant of the standard Glamour, getting segment first features and new colour schemes. For starters, the motorcycle now gets a fully digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation with Google Maps connectivity, USB charger, bank-angle sensor and side-stand engine cut-off. Although features like Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation have been offer in 125 cc scooters like the TVS NTorq 125 and the Suzuki Burgman Street.
Malo Le Masson, Head of Strategy and Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said, "The new Glamour Xtec brings an 'X' factor to the segment, with first-in-class features like LED headlamp and Turn-by-Turn Navigation through Bluetooth connectivity. It has the ideal combination of features that appeal to the youth. The Glamour Xtec caters to customers' aspirations for Technology, Style and Safety at a much more accessible price."
The new instrument cluster features real time mileage, gear position indicator, eco mode and a tacho meter as well. Hero also says that the side-stand engine cut-off and the bank-angle sensor are segment first features along with the connectivity options. The headlight is now an LED unit and Hero says that the throw is 34 per cent better than before.
The Glamour Xtec continues to get the same BS6 compliant 125 cc single-cylinder motor which makes 10.7 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The motorcycle gets Hero's patented i3s (idle start-stop system) as standard fitment.

The Hero Glamour 125 Xtec offers some style and added features to what is essentially one of India's highest-selling 125 cc motorcycles. With the addition of the instrument console from the Hero Xpulse 200, the Glamour Xtec gets Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation. That coupled with its impressive fuel economy and low running costs makes it a winner in our book!
