Verdict

One of the most cost effective products from Hero MotoCorp, the Hero HF Deluxe features a robust design that is liked by all, while offering a comfortable stance that helps commuting less stressful. It's designed for frugal running costs, as well as a low price point. But the lack of modern features and the noisy engine are its major flaws apart from the absence of disc brakes which is now standard on most products in this segment.

Hero HF Deluxe, launched by Hero MotoCorp, is one of the most eminent and iconic models in its segment. Compliant to the BS6 emission regulation, this upgraded commuter variant was introduced in 2020. This model is derived from the entry-level offering of Honda, HF Dawn and comes in a whole new avatar. Hero HF Deluxe FAQs

View All HF Deluxe FAQs
  • The displacement of the Honda HF Deluxe's engine is 97.2cc. Displacement refers to the volume of space in the engine cylinders that is swept by the pistons during the combustion process. The larger the displacement, the more power the engine can produce. However, the HF Deluxe is designed as a commuter bike, so the smaller displacement is more than enough to provide a comfortable riding experience while maintaining good fuel efficiency.
  • The maximum power output of the Honda HF Deluxe's engine is 5.9 kW (8 bhp) at 7500 rpm. Power output is the amount of power that the engine can produce, which is usually measured in kilowatts (kW) or horsepower (bhp). The HF Deluxe's engine is designed to deliver good power output while remaining fuel-efficient and reliable.
  • The maximum torque output of the Honda HF Deluxe's engine is 8.05 Nm at 4500 rpm. Torque is the rotational force that the engine produces, which is responsible for accelerating the bike from a stop and maintaining speed on inclines. The HF Deluxe's engine is designed to deliver a good amount of torque in the lower rev range, which is where most commuter riders spend the majority of their time.
  • The seat of the Honda HF Deluxe is well-cushioned and spacious, providing a comfortable ride for both the rider and passenger. The seat is designed to reduce fatigue during long rides and provide ample support for the back and legs.
  • The Honda HF Deluxe has a telescopic front suspension and a spring-loaded hydraulic rear suspension. This suspension setup is designed to provide a comfortable and stable ride, even on rough roads. The telescopic front suspension absorbs bumps and potholes, while the spring-loaded hydraulic rear suspension provides a smooth and stable ride.
  • The riding position of the Honda HF Deluxe is upright and comfortable, with a wide and well-padded seat that provides ample support for the back and legs. The handlebars are positioned at a comfortable height and angle, allowing the rider to maintain a relaxed and comfortable posture while riding.
  • The Honda HF Deluxe is powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This type of engine is known for its reliability and efficiency, making it a popular choice for commuter bikes like the HF Deluxe. The air-cooled design means that there are no liquid cooling systems, which simplifies maintenance and reduces the overall weight of the bike.
  • The Honda HF Deluxe has a four-speed constant mesh transmission. The transmission is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the rear wheel, allowing the rider to control the bike's speed and acceleration. A constant mesh transmission is a type of manual transmission that uses gears with teeth that are always in contact with each other, which reduces wear and tear and provides a smoother shifting experience.
  • The Honda HF Deluxe has a telescopic hydraulic suspension system on the front and a spring-loaded hydraulic suspension system on the rear. The suspension system is responsible for absorbing shocks and vibrations from the road, providing a smoother and more comfortable ride for the rider. A telescopic suspension system uses a set of tubes to compress and expand as the bike moves over bumps and potholes, while a spring-loaded system uses a set of springs to absorb shocks and vibrations.
