The 2017 Hyundai Xcent facelift has been launched in India and we drive it to find out what all has changed in the new car and if the new diesel engine it gets checks all the right boxes.

To take on highly successful products like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Honda Amaze in a highly competitive segment might be intimidating for some car makers but not for Hyundai. With an attractive price tag for both the petrol and diesel variants and built on the same platform as the popular Grand i10 hatch, we are not surprised with the high confidence levels.

After a long wait, Hyundai Xcent has been finally launched in India at a starting price of Rs 4.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This sub-4 metre sedan will compete against the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze.

Now when Hyundai is all set to roll out the much anticipated Xcent in the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki India has launched a limited edition of the Swift Dzire's base diesel variant LDi.
