The Kawasaki KLX 140G is a race-ready off-road motorcycle which is priced at Rs. 4.06 lakh (ex- showroom). Being a true motocross bike, the KLX 140G however, is not road legal. So, there are noheadlights, no indicators, and it cannot be registered for normal street use. It’s a dedicated off-road bike which can be used for motocross and other enduro events, as well as for improving your off- road riding skills. The only disadvantage is to transport it by road to an off-road trail or track, since it cannot be legally used on the street. The KLX 140G uses an air-cooled 144 cc, four-stroke, single- cylinder engine with a 5-speed gearbox.
The Kawasaki KLX 140G uses a perimeter, box-section chassis which is made of high-tensile steel and is said to offer excellent handling and easy manoeuvrability. Combined with the rigid frame is the highly capable suspension which is said to ensure excellent handling and feedback. The Kawasaki KLX 140G is the full-size version of Kawasaki’s trail bikes for younger riders. The suspension system uses a 33 mm telescopic front fork with 190 mm of travel, and an aluminium monoshock with piggyback reservoir at the rear which is adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping. The rear suspension offers travel of 200 mm. Braking is handled by a single 220 mm petal disc at the front, gripped by dual-piston calipers, and a single 190 mm petal disc at the front, gripped by a single- piston caliper.
The Kawasaki KLX 140G has a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, with a seat height of 860 mm and ground clearance of 315 mm. With a kerb weight of just 99 kg, the Kawasaki KLX 140G promises a lightweight, off-road motorcycle, which promises to be fun to ride and with enough capability for beginners to start learning and improving their off-road riding skills, as well as for experienced riders to have some fun on a light and nimble machine.

Verdict
The Kawasaki KLX140G is a small motocross motorcycle. It gets a 144 cc engine. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It is a great motorcycle for beginners riding to learn trail riding, thanks to the small engine, decent performance and light weight of 99 kg. It will work well for young riders and those who are lightweight. It is priced at Rs. 4.07 lakh (Ex-showroom). of course, the motorcycle is not road legal.
