Introduction

Available at an ex-showroom price of 15.99 lakhs, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R comes in a single petrol variant, SDS BS VI with two attractive colour options: Lime Green and Pearl Robotic White. The bike features a 998.0 cc engine with single disc/dual semi-floating Brembo disc brakes. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is packed with exciting tech features, adding to the convenience of the riders.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is an absolute stunner, with razor-sharp looks, and everything onboard looks like it has been crafted for best-in-class aerodynamics. Kawasaki has decided to replace the front cowl of its previous versions with a stunning aerodynamic shape, adding to the sporty looks of the bike. The windscreen on this bike is taller than before, and its handlebars are positioned straighter and forwarded. Additionally, the foot pegs of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R are 5mm higher and the height of the backseat is more elevated. The more compacted shape, integrated winglets, aerodynamics riding position, LED Turn signals, cowling-mounted mirrors, compact LED headlights, new tail cowl designs, new Ram air intake makes it an ideal choice for Indian riders.

The 16-valve, 998 cc, four-cylinder engine owes to the cleaner emission and dynamic performance of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. To boost the vehicle performance, Kawasaki has integrated new electronic throttle valves, new air-cooled oil cooler, along with valve train design, new transmission gear and new exhaust system. Besides improving emission, the power delivery of the bike is maintained by its exhaust system. The quicker corner exit along with the strong low-mid acceleration is the outcome of transmission gear. This improves the off-line acceleration of the bike. The 6-speed transmission gear is integrated by Kawasaki in this model to deliver a maximum torque of 114.9Nm at 1400 rpm and a maximum power of 203 PS at 13,200 rpm, and for Ram intake, 213 PS at 13,200 rpm.

With the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, the rider can get the taste of the racing tracks, and Kawasaki has decided to integrate a series of riding manual modes such as Sport, Rain, Road and Ride, allowing the rider to set the traction control, while maintaining power delivery suitable for specific riding conditions. Another exciting feature of the bike includes the Electronic Cruise Control Feature that offers the desired speed to the rider with just one press of the button and this means the rider does not need to apply the throttle constantly. The swingarm pivot on the bike is now longer and positioned lower to improve its cornering performance. The high performance Brembo Brake System, aerodynamic riding position, Horizontal Back-Link Rear Suspension with Showa Balance Free Rear Cushion Lite and the Advanced Showa Balance Free Front Fork ensure comfort to the rider.

Overall, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a comfortable ride, thanks to the excellent suspension setup onboard. Compared to the 2022 Yamaha YZF-R1 and the 2022 Ducati Panigale V4, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is more refined and it is easier to ride through the freeways and cities. This litre-class motorcycle has the capacity to glide over potholes and bumps with adequate ease and comfort, if the suspension of the bike is dialled in effectively.  In the Indian market, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is available to customers as a single-seat, which adds fun to sport-riding. The taller windscreen on the bike protects the rider from wind blasts. The new features along with the changes in its design have been executed to ensure the utmost comfort on the racing track.

Kawasaki has decided to update its Ninja ZX-10R with modern tech features such as a compact 4.3-inch, all-digital TFT Colour Unit, featuring selectable background as well as functions including digital bar-style tachometer, digital speedometer, throttle application, average fuel consumption, external race-style shift light, two display modes. The bike also comes with the ‘Kawasaki RIDEOLOGY THE APP”, which features Bluetooth Smartphone Connectivity. Some of the other electronic aids on the bike includes Kawasaki Quick Shifter, five-mode traction control, launch control, three power modes, engine brake control, optional ABS, and Ohlins electronic steering damper.

As claimed by Kawasaki, the mileage of Ninja ZX-10R is about 15kmpl, and the fuel tank capacity of the sports vehicle is 17 litres and the bike is able to deliver an overall riding range of 255km. However, the mileage offered by the bike depends entirely on the riding conditions and on the riding itself.

It can be said that the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a good value for money, with new design concepts and a series of updated features, making its on-road appearance striking, with great pick-up and performance, along with comfort and riding experience.

In the first year of purchase, the service cost of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is 16,213 and over the next four years, it is 32,426, which means the total service cost for the bike for five years is ,1,45, 917.

The other motorbikes competing in the same segment as Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R include BMW S 1000 RR, Ducati Streetfighter V2, Harley Davidson Nightster, and so on.

With a price tag of 15.99 lakhs, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a real value-for-money for bikers. Even though the bike comes with a hefty price tag, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is loaded with a range of tech features, making it an attractive racing bike for the riders. Not only is it comfortable on tracks, it is also an ideal choice for daily commuting as well. There is every reason to buy this excellent ride. In this segment, it is indeed one of the most expensive bikes, but considering the design and features, it can be a good buy for customers. However, there are cheaper options in this segment as well.
