    The C&B Verdict
    car&bike Expert Rating
Kawasaki is one of the very few manufacturers who have officially launched off-road ready dirt bikes in India. One of the dirt bikes on offer is the KX250. It is not road-legal, therefore, riding the dirt bike should be restricted to off-road trails and tracks only. The KX250 was launched in 2017 but the updated 2018 edition introduces a host of improvements including an updated engine with more torque and revised suspension setup. It is a good dirt bike for novice and pros alike.

The Kawasaki KX250F is a dirt motorcycle that is targeted at hardcore riders in India. The motorcycle is not street-legal and gets some extreme components, capable enough to make high jumps and wade the corniest of trails. The Kawasaki KX250F is priced at Rs. 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and cannot be registered as a street-legal motorcycle. The buyers can use it on private properties or for competitive racing. The bike gets minimal styling and lightweight components to keep the overall weight low and makes for a distinctive styling that’s easily recognisable.

Power on the Kawasaki KX250F comes from the 249 cc single-cylinder, DOHC engine that is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike comes with 48 mm telescopic front forks and uni-trak rear suspension. Braking duties are handled by a 270 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc. The bike has a kerb weight of 104 kg, which allows for an extremely high power-to-weight ratio.

The Kawasaki KX250F does not have too many competitors but it does lock horns with the Suzuki RM-Z250 in the Indian market that is also a purpose-built dirt bike that cannot be registered.

    Upcoming Model is Z400
