Land Rover stunned and surprised the world by showing a Range Rover Evoque convertible concept, at the 2012 New York Auto Show. It made it to production only in 2016, and many baulked at the idea. But a couple of years down the line, that idea is suddenly looking like a successful masterstroke. At the time though, JLR was quite categorical saying India will not get the convertible at all. That decision has now been changed, with the Evoque convertible being ushered in as a marque-defining model.

True to its name, the Range Rover Evoque evokes a smile every time you look at it. Even before its launch in November, Jaguar Land Rover claimed that it had received 125 pre-bookings for the facelifted model. It's unique design and not-so-intimidating presence explains why this Range Rover SUV has a strong following in the Indian market.
