Introduction:

• The Shockwave emerges as India’s first electric enduro motorcycle
• Ahead of its launch, the company announced an introductory price of Rs 1.5 lakh for first 2,000 bookings.
• This electric enduro motorcycle is offered in two colour options: Cosmic Black and Frost White.
• The front gets a raised fender which is complemented by dual projector LED headlamps.
• The convertible seating setup allows the rider to swap between dual-seat and single-seat configurations.

Features and Equipment

• The Shockwave gets a 5-inch vertical full-color TFT console with Bluetooth for smartphone connectivity and navigation assistance.
• Additionally, rider aids include a 4-level traction control system and 6-levels of dynamic regenerative braking for energy recovery.
• For off-road convenience and trail riding, this electric Shockwave offers switchable dual-channel ABS, allowing riders to disengage rear ABS intervention.
• The bike is equipped with a long-travel suspension setup featuring a 37 mm cartridge-type front telescopic fork with 200 mm of wheel travel.
• While the rear monoshock delivers 180 mm of wheel travel.
• The bike gets a 19-inch wheel in the front and 17-inch wheel at the rear, which are wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.

Powertrain and Battery

• The Shockwave is powered by a chassis-mounted interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) which produces 14.7 bhp (10.81 kW) and 505 Nm of torque.
• Interestingly, the electric motor is paired with an automatic chain-drive transmission, enabling 0-60 kmph acceleration in 2.9 seconds and a claimed top speed of 120 km/h.
• A 4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the motorcycle, delivering an Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) claimed range of 165 km on a single charge.
• The motorcycle weighs a mere 120 kg, offering impressive power-to-weight ratio.
