Having showcased it at the Auto Expo 2018 earlier in the year, Mahindra & Mahindra has officially revealed the launch details on its upcoming flagship SUV. Codenamed Mahindra Y400, the SsangYong G4 Rexton based SUV will be launched in India on November 19, 2018, and is all set to compete against the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and the likes in the segment. The SUV will be positioned above the XUV500 in Mahindra's stable and is expected to be leaps ahead of the previous offerings from the company.

Honda 2Wheelers India Launches 'Honda Joy Club' Digital Customer Programme
In a bid to offer better service to customers beyond its products, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced its new Honda Joy Club. The Joy Club is a digital customer loyalty programme and the first-of-its-kind for the two-wheeler industry in India. The programme is directed for both new and existing Honda two-wheeler customers, which can be availed for a price of Rs. 299 (excluding GST) that remains valid for a period of three years. The Honda Joy Club programme is intended to provide beyond just two-wheelers via Honda's partners across different categories and needs to be accessed via an app, available on both iOS and Android devices. The Joy Club programme will also be offered free of cost to new customers till November 30, 2018.

Keeping up with the festive spirit, Renault India has introduced a new colour option on the Captur SUV. The Renault Captur now comes in a new Radiant Red shade with a contrast black finished roof. Okinawa Ridge+ With Lithium-Ion Battery Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 64,998
Gurugram-based electric two-wheeler maker Okinawa Autotech has announced the launch of the a new version to the Ridge electric scooter. The Okinawa Ridge+ is the new lithium-ion battery powered version and has been priced at Rs. 64,998 (ex-showroom, India). The new Okinawa Ridge+ uses an 800 watt, BLDC water-proof motor and extends the scooter's range to a claimed 120 km in a single charge. The Ridge+ will be sold alongside the standard Okinawa Ridge that used a lead battery. The new Ridge+ is substantially more expensive than the lead battery powered Ridge by about Rs. 21,000.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Becomes India's Highest Selling Compact Sedan In First Half Of FY2018-19
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has turned out to be the most-selling C-segment sedan in the country with over 24,000 units sold during the first half of 2018-2019 financial year. The Ciaz currently accounts for a 28.8 per cent market share in the segment which comprises products like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and the likes. Adding to the growth momentum was the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift that arrived in August this year and registered over 10,000 bookings in the first month since the launch, the company announced in a statement.

Maruti Suzuki Flags Off Electric Vehicles For Field Testing In India
Following up with its announcement to introduce electric vehicles in India by 2020, Maruti Suzuki flagged off electric vehicles for field testing in India. The 50 prototype electric vehicles have been developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan, while the cars have been built at Maruti Suzuki's Gurugram facility in Haryana, as part of the company's make in India commitment. The electric vehicles were flagged off from the Gurugram facility by Maruti Suzuki - Senior Executive Director (Engineering), CV Raman. The prototype electric vehicles have been developed on an existing model by Suzuki Japan, the company said in a statement.

India's First Emergency Evacuation Vehicle Inducted Into Mumbai International Airport
In a bid to make access to aircrafts faster during emergencies, the Mumbai International Airport (MIAL), which administers the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has inducted the Emergency Evacuation Vehicle (EEV) in its fleet. The Mumbai International Airport becomes the first in the country to get such an advanced evacuation vehicle that can access even the largest of passenger aircrafts including the Airbus A380, the largest civlian aircraft in operation at present. This is the seventh emergency evacuation vehicle at the airport, but offers better access to aircrafts and can speed up the evacuation process in an emergency.

MotoGP: Marquez Battles Dovizioso To Win Inaugural Thai GP
Honda's Marc Marquez took a nail-biting win in the inaugural Thailand Grand Prix at the Buriram circuit. The 2018 MotoGP championship contender managed to pass rival Andrea Dovizioso of Ducati on the final lap to take the win. The two riders were separated by just 0.115s as Marquez heads closer to the championship title for the seventh time. Finishing third was Yamaha's Maverick Vinales with the new aero fairing after a spell of poor performances in previous races. This was also Marquez's seventh win of the 2018 MotoGP season, and the Spaniard leads with 77 points, with only 100 points left to play for in the final four races.

F1: Hamilton Wins Japanese GP As Vettel Crashes
Lewis Hamilton took a step closer to the 2018 Formula 1 championship title, winning the Japanese Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver won the race amidst high octane action, which included a clash between Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen of Red Bull. With a 67 point deficit over Hamilton, Vettel's home of taking winning the championship this year seem to be diminishing faster with about 100 points left for grabs. Joining Hamilton on the podium was teammate Valtteri Bottas followed by Verstappen in third place. Vettel finished a distant sixth in the race.
