India Kawasaki Motors has introduced the 2020 Ninja ZX-10R in the country with a new colour scheme. The litre-class supersport offering continues to sport the black and green paint scheme, but now comes with gold highlights for the new model year. The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R continues to retail at the same price of Rs. 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and is brought to the market via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route. Barring the new paint scheme, the motorcycle does not get any changes to the mechanicals. Kawasaki will continue to retail the new ZX-10R along with the KRT edition in India with deliveries for the 2020 model start from October this year.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 1.9-Litre Diesel Automatic Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 19.99 Lakh
Isuzu India has introduced the V-Cross pick-up truck with the new 1.9-litre diesel engine and an automatic transmission. The new Isuzu V-Cross Z-Prestige is a new limited edition variant that gets the new engine and transmission option, which is priced at a premium of about Rs. 3 lakh over the standard 2.5-litre diesel version with the 6-speed manual gearbox. That said, the new motor packs more power than the 2.5-litre oil burner belting out 148 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque, and is currently offered in the BS4 version. The motor though will be upgraded to BS6 norms later in the year, while the older mill could be discontinued post the April 2020 deadline.

PV Inventories Reduced To 25 Days; CVs & Two-Wheelers Inventories Remain High: FADA
The slowdown in the auto sector has seen a major pile-up of inventories with dealers over the past months, which will get more and more difficult to clear as the BS6 deadline comes closer. However, the recent steps taken by OEMs to reduce wholesale billing of PVs to dealers have helped reduce inventories to 25-30 days in July 2019, according to the data shared by the Federation of Dealers Association (FADA). The inventory level is down from the 30-35 day period in June this year and is now closer to the suggested timeline of a 21-day inventory level by FADA.

American motorcycle maker India Motorcycles is all set to introduce a new offering in the country called the FTR 1200 S. To be offered in two versions - FTR 1200 S and the FTR 1200 Race Replica, the bikes are scrambler styled are bring some fun to the heritage brand. The company had announced its plans to introduce the Indian FTR 1200 S in India back in December last year. At the time, the manufacturer also announced prices for the same with the FTR 1200 S was priced at Rs. 14.99 lakh and the FTR 1200 S Race Replica priced at Rs. 15.49 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India). However, it needs to be seen if the fluctuations in the exchange rates have had an impact on the final pricing of the motorcycles.

EESL Partners With Apollo Hospitals To Install Public Charging Stations
Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power has announced its first partnership with the private sector. The world's largest public energy services company (ESCO) has signed a 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Hospitals to install public charging stations across its hospitals in India. The aim is to boost e-mobility across the country and the tie-up will help set-up the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Under the MoU, EESL will make the entire upfront investment on specified services and deploy the manpower required for the operation and maintenance of the public charging infrastructure. Meanwhile, Apollo Hospitals will provide the requisite space and power connections for the charging network to EESL.
