Engine & Performance

Petrol (xDrive40i): 3.0L inline-6 petrol engine delivering approximately 376 bhp and 520 Nm—a notable increase over previous outputs—paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD.

Diesel (xDrive30d): 3.0L inline-6 diesel producing around 282 bhp and 650 Nm, with the same drivetrain and gearbox.

Both engines incorporate a 48V mild-hybrid system delivering an additional 12 bhp and 200 Nm during hard acceleration for improved responsiveness and efficiency

Acceleration:

• xDrive40i: 0–100 km/h in about 5.4 seconds

• xDrive30d: 0–100 km/h in approximately 6.1 seconds

Comfort & Space

• The X5 is designed as a spacious luxury SUV, offering a 650-litre boot and generous rear passenger space. India doesn’t get the third-row seats, but the boot is enhanced with a split-opening tailgate and a spare tyre beneath .
