The diesel engined Maruti Suzuki Ciaz on the other hand gets just a manual gearbox and is priced from Rs 9.97 - 10.97 lakh. It is interesting to note that the fully loaded petrol auto and the fully loaded diesel manual are the exact same price. The Ciaz will take on the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento and the Skoda Rapid.     With the festive season approaching and pollution levels expected to spike in Delhi and most of north India once again, any approach towards reducing it is welcome. According to reports in HT, the Delhi Government plans to form a proposal by which it will offer a 50 per cent less reduction in Road Tax for brand new CNG vehicles that come with factory fitted CNG kits. It hopes this move will help promote the use of CNG vehicles, as compared to the standard petrol or the more popular diesel options. This move, if implemented could mean that cars could become cheaper due to cheaper taxes while registering them. This however will have no effect on ex-showroom prices.

    The Buddh International Circuit, India's only Grade 1 circuit, which held the Indian Grand Prix in 2011, 2012 and 2013, will hold an open track day on September 2, 2018. The event, which will be run as a time trial will include both cars and two wheelers and will have independent slots for normal cars, sports cars, bikes below 400cc and bikes above 400cc. Participants will be able to use 30 min driving slots for cars or 25 min riding slots for two wheelers in order to enjoy the track for a safe - yet fast driving or riding experience.

The new limted edition variant of the car will be available only in a white and black two tone paintjob but with get red accents all around. The new car will be launched in India on august 20, 2018 and will feature some changes on the exterior and on the interior but most importantly a brand new engine family too. The new Ciaz facelift will now get a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor which will be mated to Maruti's mild hybrid SHVS (smart hybrid vehicle system) technology. In the future, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki would also co-develop new cars for India. And now according to reports in the Deccan Herald, Suzuki is set to invest $1 Billion into the Toyota manufacturing plant in Bidadi just outside Bengaluru.
