Nissan Kicks Compact SUV Sketches Released For India
Just days after announcing its new strategy for the Indian market, Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has released the first sketches of the upcoming Kicks compact SUV. The Nissan Kicks has been confirmed for an Indian launch in early 2019. The model will be the first of many new products across the Nissan and Datsun brand, which the company plans to introduce over the next few years. The Kicks SUV is already on sale internationally and is based on the V-platform. The India-spec version though will be based on the B0 that also underpins the Renault Duster and Captur, as well as the Nissan Terrano.

MotoGP: Dovizioso Wins San Marino GP As Lorenzo Crashes
Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso took a hard fought win in the 2018 MotoGP San Marino Grand Prix at Misano, beating teammate Jorge Lorenzo to the chequered flag. Lorenzo, who started on pole crashed out of second place promoting the close running Marc Marquez of Honda to P2, whle LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow took the final position on the podium. With the San Marino GP, Dovizioso scored Ducati's third consecutive win since 2008. Royal Enfield Classic 500 ABS Deliveries Begin; Price Revealed
Royal Enfield dealerships across the country have begun deliveries of the Classic 500 ABS version, CarAndBike can confirm. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 ABS is priced at Rs. 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and is about Rs. 20,00-30,000 more expensive than the standard version. Prices vary depending on the colour of the Classic 500. At present, dealers have conveyed to CarAndBike that ABS is available in the Stealth Black and Desert Storm colour options, while other versions will get the feature later in the timeline. The update comes just weeks after the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Signals Edition were introduced becoming the first bikes from the manufacturer to get ABS in India.

Bajaj Auto will be expanding production of its three-wheeler and Quadricycles up to one million per annum, the manufacturer has announced in a statement. The upscale comes as the government has abolished the "permit" regime that was previously applicable for the sale of auto rickshaws. Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Nitin Gadkari announced the development at the 58th SIAM Annual convention earlier today with the government moving to a "no-permit" regime for auto rickshaws powered by alternate fuels.

Japanese auto giant Nissan has announced its strategy for the Indian market with new products, strengthening of Nissan and Datsun brands, dealership expansion and optimising flexible manufacturing. The automaker will also strengthen the R&D facilities together with its alliance partners in India. Leading the company's new offensive will be the Nissan Kicks compact SUV that has been confirmed to make its domestic launch in the first quarter of 2019. Jerome Vanlalrengpuia has emerged victorious in the third edition of the Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup. The Mizoram-based racer will be heading to Spain in October this year for the Rookies Cup qualifiers representing India at the global level. In its third edition in India, the Road to Rookies Cup's final round was held at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore last weekend and Jerome took a hard-fought win, beating title contender PC Andy Lalhmangaihsanga, also based out of Mizoram. 2019 MotoGP Provisional Calendar Announced
MotoGP has issued the provisional calendar for the 2019 season and championship will continue to host 19-rounds, much like the current season. Promoters Dorna have also confirmed that a new venue has not been added to the calendar for 2019, despite two new tracks being announced to be added next year. MotoGP has dropped the Mexico and Finland venues in 2019, while Sachsenring and Silverstone will continue to host the premier-class championship.

The teaser videos showcased neon green treatment on the subcompact SUV without revealing too much but now leaked images of what is called the 'Kraz Edition' have now made their way online. The Tata Nexon Kraz Special Edition will get a black and grey paint scheme with neo-green (neon-green) highlights across the exterior and interior of the model. Tata Tigor Diesel Recalled Over Emission Issues
Tata Motors has issued a voluntary recall for the diesel version of the Tigor subcompact sedan. The recall exercise is applicable to the Tata Tigor diesel that were manufactured between March 6 and December 1, in order to rectify potential emission issues, the company has said in a statement. The Tigor petrol models are not affected by the recall. The models with the chassis number between MAT629401GKP52721 and MAT629401HKN89616 will be the contacted by the Tata dealer representatives to rectify the issue. The automaker though has not revealed what the exact issue is with the diesel models.

The 10th edition of the Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare is being held over 2000 km and will traverse through the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa. The first round of the rally saw cars compete in three special stages through dirt and gravel, with a total distance of 129 km in three special stages. The bikes, on the other hand, covered a total distance of 86.42 km across two special stages. Ace rally driver Gaurav Gill leads the on opening day of the Dakshin Dare rally in Davangere, Karnataka for cars, while Yuva Kumar takes the lead in the two-wheeler category.

Mahindra Marazzo Petrol Version To Arrive With BS6 Norms In 2020
The Mahindra Marazzo has been finally launched with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), but the MPV is offered only with a diesel engine. However, with demand for petrol derivatives consistently rising across all segments, the India automaker will find it hard to ignore the powertrain on its newly launched offering. Answering questions at the Marazzo launch event, Mahindra stated that the petrol version of the MPV is indeed in the pipeline but will make its debut close to when the BS6 emission norms are applicable. With the emission norms set for an upgrade from April 2020, it is likely that the Mahindra Marazzo petrol version will arrive only by early that year in the country.

F1: Lando Norris Confirmed To Replace Stoffel Vandoorne At McLaren Next Season
Lando Norris has been announced as the new driver at McLaren for the 2019 Formula One season. The Formula 2 front-runner will be replacing Stoffel Vandoorne, who announced his departure from the team at the end of this season. Norris was one of the four shortlisted drivers for the seat after it became increasingly clear that Vandoorne will not continue with McLaren owing to poor performance. Lando will be joining the newly recruited Carlos Sainz in the McLaren garage in 2019, with the latter stepping in for Fernando Alonso, who announced his retirement from Formula 1 by the end of this season.

The new version is likely to be called the Tata Nexon Neon Edition and is expected to come with a generous dose of the neon green shade. The teaser video shows little barring the neon green finished ORVM and "Coming Soon" written. The Tata Nexon Neon Edition will be arriving just ahead of the festive season, which should see sales increase even further for the SUV that competes against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in the segment. F1: Hamilton Beats Raikkonen To Win Dramatic Italian GP
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton consolidated his championship lead bringing home the 2018 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix. The Briton took the win in a late charge during the final stages of the race beating pole-sitter Kimi Raikkonen to the chequered flag. The win comes despite Hamilton's incident on the opening lap with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, which dropped the latter down to P16. Vettel, however, recovered to P4 in the race, behind Valtteri Bottas. The other contender for P4, Red Bull's Max Verstappen attracted a 5-second penalty in an incident with Bottas dropping down to fifth.
