Bajaj Pulsar P150

The design of the Bajaj Pulsar P150 draws inspiration from its larger siblings, the Pulsar N160 and N250, giving it a sporty and aggressive look. Key elements like sharp tank extensions, body panels, and belly pan give it a modern yet familiar appearance. 

The LED projector headlight differentiates it from the N160, while the semi-digital instrument console offers a minimalistic yet functional display, though it misses out on a full-digital setup, which could have added a more premium feel.

While not a revolutionary design, the P150 still holds its own with decent proportions, appealing to both younger and slightly older riders. The dual-disc variant comes with clip-on handlebars and a split seat, further enhancing its sporty credentials

The Bajaj Pulsar P150 is powered by an all-new 149.5 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 14.3 bhp at 8500 rpm and 13.5 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. While these figures are marginally better than the outgoing model, the real improvement lies in its refinement and power delivery. The two-valve engine delivers 90% of its torque across a wide band, making it easy to ride in urban conditions without frequent downshifts.

The bike offers linear acceleration, precise gear shifts, and can comfortably cruise at 80 km/h. It is not a top-speed machine, but it does hit 100 km/h with some effort. The claimed fuel economy of 49 kmpl ensures that the P150 strikes the right balance between performance and running costs

The Pulsar P150 features a dual-cradle frame with the engine acting as a stressed member, contributing to its lightweight yet stiff construction.

The result is a stable and responsive ride, whether navigating straight roads or tackling corners. With a kerb weight of just 141 kg, the P150 is significantly lighter than its predecessor, enhancing its handling characteristics.

The suspension setup includes monoshocks at the rear, replacing the older twin-shock system, providing a more comfortable ride and better road dynamics. 

The MRF tires offer decent grip, while the brakes, though adequate, could benefit from more bite. Single-channel ABS is standard, and it works effectively, though the rear wheel does have a tendency to lock up under hard braking

Comfort is a strong point for the Bajaj Pulsar P150, especially with its low seat height of 790 mm, making it accessible to riders of different sizes.

The upright riding position, wide handlebars, and light kerb weight contribute to an overall easy and comfortable ride. The suspension is tuned for comfort, absorbing bumps and road imperfections well, making it a reliable companion for both daily commutes and longer rides​.
