The Hero Xtreme 200S is a fully-faired 200 cc motorbike produced in India. The Xtreme 200S is covered in an all-new aerodynamic fairing with a sleek-looking twin LED headlight built on the same diamond-type frame. A pair of position lamps on each side, a tank pad on the gasoline tank, a single-piece seat, an all-LED tail lamp, a split-type grab rail, and a sleek-looking exhaust canister surround it.
Apart from the basic features, the Xtreme 200S has a completely digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a gear position indicator and a service reminder. The BS6 Xtreme 200S comes with LED headlights and taillights and a full-digital instrument panel with a gear position indicator and Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts.
The 199.6 cc, two-valve, air-cooled engine is still in Xtreme tune and comes with simply a carburettor. The power and torque output statistics remain the same and the Xtreme 200S rides much like the previous bike thanks to a two-kilogram increase in kerb weight (now 149 kg). That implies you have a wide range of low-end torque and decent city riding tractability. The bike spent most of its time on the course with the throttle wide open in 5th gear, never exceeding 115 kmph. Given the time and room, you should be able to reach a peak speed of around 120-125 kmph on the road.
The Xtreme 200S is presently Hero's only fully-faired option, with most components taken from the Xtreme 200R naked street bike. While the motorbike has a sporty appearance, it provides a pleasant ride ideal for everyday commuting and short weekend excursions.
This bike has the following tech features:
The Hero Xtreme 200S bike delivers a mileage of 36.9 kmpl.
The Hero Xtreme 200S has pleasant ergonomics and supportive seats, but the 200 cc engine seems inadequate for extended highway trips. Yes, you can go on a long-distance ride with the Xtreme 200S if you can accept that. Despite its athletic appearance, the bike's stepped seat can accommodate two persons. When taking this motorbike on lengthy trips, even the riding posture is pretty accommodating.
The Xtreme 200S is Hero's only fully-faired alternative at the moment, with the majority of its components sourced from the Xtreme 200R naked street bike. Despite its sporty exterior, the motorcycle delivers a comfortable ride that is perfect for daily commuting and brief weekend getaways.
Yes, it is worth purchasing now that Hero Motocorp has disclosed the upgrades made to the Xtreme 200S. If you want a sporty-looking motorbike that is comfortable enough for everyday commutes under 1.5 lakh rupees, the Xtreme 200S makes a very strong argument for itself. It is less complex, more powerful, and has a greater peak speed.
Pros
Cons
At a price of ₹ 98,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Hero Xtreme 200S makes a good case for itself and not only is it a good-looking motorcycle but is also stacked with features. The performance is decent and the motorcycle should serve as a stylish fully-faired commuter motorcycle within the city. The value for money quotient with the 200S is quite high and you get excellent after-market service network and easy availability of spares too.
Hero Xtreme 200S is available in 3 different colors namely Sports Red, Panther Black & Pearl Fadeless White.
